Kanye absolutely tearing up twitter right now

Even if you don't like his music, he's still an excellent producer and lately I've been listening to my Kanye pandora channel a lot and it's really started to grow on me.

He really is a pretty inspiring guy, I watched some of his videos of him talking about the WTT tour and this "bigger picture" stuff he's been on about recently and, although he has a large ego and can come across as an asshole to the public, it's pretty cool to listen to him.

okay fine. but its not necessary for those to be iphones.

-how many kids actually have iphones?

-iphones are DEFINITELY not cheaper than the clickers.

so either some kids are left out or everyone pays a little and gets the clicker, or they just put up their hands the old fashioned way?

i understand the point that something like that could be useful, but iphones are not necessarily the answer. there are way too many ways to get distracted with them .am i wrong?

i missed the inclusion of reglar phones there. so maybe it could be cheaper, are you a university prof?

if so then i guess lots of kids have phones/smartphones. i was kindof assuming elementary school.

w.e what do i know, maybe hes smart

-It doesn't have to be "iPhones", smart phones, tablets, you name it.

-What the fuck is a clicker?

-You can't get distracted any more than with anything else if you put certain limits on students.

these new things a prof can make mandatory like a text book, and the kids use them to participate in class, sometimes getting a participation grade when they answer. helps promote attendance and attention.

i just saw them this or last year in Ontario, who know how long theyve been around in the USA

That's ridiculous, it's like some freaky game show.

"Now class, let's look at the stats of who got the question 'What is 2+2?' correct..... well, this doesn't look good...doesn't look GOOD AT ALL. Someone's going to juvy."

This is classic bipolar behavior. Can't sleep. Ideas to change the world, etc etc. Makes total sense if Kanye actually is bipolar.

Thats pretty cool. He says some interesting shit. I dont think hes fucked up because his typing is never wrong and his statements are clear. DOPE!

uhhhhh.. isn't that what using any resource is? A professor, a book, a film, you look up/are told the answers, thereby 'learning' them.

if you always have them present then you never have to commit anything to memory, therefore not learning. the point of tests is to see how much knowledge one retained from studying

Isn't that the exact same thing as looking something up in a book or asking a professor? Your point really doesn't make much sense.

Lol introverted was definitely not the word I meant to use. But it was like 2 am gimme a break here haha.

Regardless my point still stands. The dudes brilliant, he just is a little wrapped up in his own thoughts and doesnt think of other people all the time. A lot of the time.

Lol considering how much of Commons stuff hes produced or at the very least inspired. If you like hip hop at all hes probably either produced for one of your favorite artists, or inspired one of your favorite artists.

Take some engineering classes. 90% of the exams are open book/open note. And they usually give you all the equations you need. They don't want you to memorize stupid shit like that. Just as long as you can use the formulas and apply what is in the book.

Just because a test is open book or open note or even open iPhone doesn't mean the kids are going to do better on them. Make the tests harder so looking up the answer vs. just knowing the answer would take a lot more time and may prevent you from finishing the entire test.

I do agree open everything tests would be kind of pointless for history classes but those classes are already pointless so who cares.

Yup, but even for the history tests you could ask more in-depth questions, such as what drove and lead to some events, what could have been done to prevent them or how they affected ther world etc.

I've had three home exams during my education and they were much, much harder to get right. You have all the resources in the world to write a paper of about 30 pages over three days. The grading is very harsh, and we used the Gaussian function for the grades, meaning only a certain percent could get an A and so on. This kind of method REALLY rewards people like me, who are not that good at simply memorizing stuff, but more about analyzing and creating new information from existing ones.
