K98 vs K106 for touring in the PNW

I got drunk the other night and ended up with a pair of atomic trackers outside my apartment, so I'm due for a pair of skis to match.

I currently have a pair of caylor lights from 2011? in 191, and was thinking some kartels in 186 would be similar. I got to demo some k98s in 181 over christmas and loved the feel, but was missing some stability and some float with the super awesome conditions.

In any case, "tours" I'd be doing on these would be almost entirely in search of pow and/or jumps when meadows closes down and I'm too poor to go to timberline. Hopefully some SW CO and Washington skiing with them as well. They would also get a fair amount of in bounds use.

I'm worried that:

a) the k98 would be too small for some of the riding I'd like to do

b) the k106 would be unnecessarily wide

c) I'd stop riding my caylors if I got anything bigger than 106ish

Thoughts? Other recommendations?

So you're considering waiting for the sander ski which could be 120+ but you're scared the 106 will be too fat?

But really go 106/108 maybe even Jeffrey 114 or Kartel 116

Up until last year I had only skied CO and Ohio, so I'm still trying to get an idea of how the snow works out here.

The Caylor wasn't exactly a daily driver back home, but it definitely is out here if it's normally anything like this season.

Do you think the k116 or the sander would be a better pick than even the 106?

Maybe. I mean the snow you'll be skiing is deep and heavy. So I'd personally take at least the new Kartel 108 or the Kartel 106 now. Personally 120+ seems too fat for me but I'm not sure. Sander is from the same mountain as I am and rips all over the place. I'd personally go k116 or j114.
