K2 Wreckoners 102

I got these skis off of Facebook marketplace for 380$. They had clean bases, no edge cracks, and only some top sheet damage. It also came with pivot bindings that were already mounted for my boot so I went ahead and got them (BIG mistake). I went to Bogus Basin's rail jam this saturday to try them out. They felt amazing, super lively and playful skis. I had a blast riding them, but when I got back home my entire mood changed. I looked for any damage, and noticed 3 different spots where they were delaminating. 2 by the noses and 1 right under my binding. This was 1 day of riding rails, and they are already breaking?! I put some JB weld in between the areas delaminting, and I'm hoping I can finish the season with them. Loved the feeling of these skis, but I'm sad about the durability.

Absolutely smashed through two pairs last season. Such fun skis but not worth it when they fall apart so quick. Hopefully k2 can figure it out

No way! , i was just planning on getting a pair!!

could it be the previous owner!?

did you check them before the day you ski?

on a scale from 1 to 10 how soft theyre?

The skis looked great before, no signs of delamintion. They had some scrapes on the top sheet but that was it. I even looked at the edges the night before when I waxed them and they were great. The skis are really buttery, more than my armada arv 96s.

Tough broooo, i had the same thing happen to me on two pairs of reckoner 112, tried fixing them many times, but anything you do will be temporary. try keeping it on your outside edge until it happens on the other side lol

Do they feel about the same on the hill? I want a good alternative when these break

They are way surfier and lose. Feel like more narrow powder ski. Bit stiffer but way more rocker

Lmfao I started doing this and the other side is delaminating now, I've put jb weld in 3 times now. Its just temporary and ends up cracking after a week of skiing

Gotta use that West Systems G-Flex 650 Epoxy, it'll hold up better than the jb weld.
