K2 Silencers - Thinking about forcing them to delaminating fully

Hey Guys I have an old pair of k2 Silencers 2008? (black skis with the knives) and right now they are my urban skis / Midwest park ski. Over the years the top sheet has been cut and peeled around the ski. I took them out of my car today and was horrified on how shitty they look. Only thing I want / I am PERTURBED

to do right now is take a sharp knife and a paint scraper to the top sheet and peel it off completely so it looks better.... IS THIS smart or stupid?!

That's one of the tails. I started and then stopped.. but it was already a lot missing a lot of the top sheet.

 
There urban skis, who cares? No top sheets would look cool though. You've already started, might as well finish. Post pics when you're done
 
Um they are used for urban and but I usually ski them most of the time (if that makes any sense).. Iv fucked them up but im hoping to get in the ski shop and clean the fuck out of the base and hopefully give it new life
