K2 Sights??

I can get a really good deal on the 2017 ones with marker bindings.

What do you guys think of the Sights as a first park/freestyle ski. I've heard they are pretty good all-mountain as well.

I was really going to get the ARV 86's but the price I can get these for is really tempting. Any idea of how they compare?

Lastly, would 179 be long enough? I am 6'1 / 185 cm and around 140-150 pounds. I'll be skiing a mix of piste, off-piste and park.

Thanks you :)

They seem like a great intro park ski, looked at them myself a few years back. ARV 86's will last you longer for sure and will be a better ski, but if you can get an awesome deal, I would maybe go with the K2's. What Marker bindings do they come with? If they come with Marker Squire bindings, I would find different bindings. Each of my friends who had the squires broke them within in a season. As for ski size, I'm 5'10" 150 and I ride a 177cm ski. For me, its the perfect length for park. Although, I could definitely ride longer skis if I was going to be skiing more all-mountain. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the answer.

Yeah don't worry, I've been told to stay away from the squires hehe. It's with the Griffons, which i think will be just fine for me.

I'm really split between the two atm. Definitely a little worried about the K2s being a bit to short for me and i've had my eyes on the ARVs for some time. That being said, i can get the K2s for like 60% the price of the ARVs

k2's sizing is a bit strange. Usually their "179" measures a fair bit longer than that, so you would probably be fine with that size at your height.
