So I bought the new sights... I owned the '14 or 15' model I think ... As far as i can remember I mounted it 2,5 cm from center. This one seems to have a slightly different shape. Any recommendations? Park only. 179 model, i'm around 6'2" 82 kgs

Thanks alot !!

centre mount

I wouldn't, the ski is not symmetrical and has more rocker in the tip than the tail. If you mount true center you will have more effective edge behind you than in front. Unless you ski switch significantly more often than forwards, this makes no sense.

A bit back from center, similar to the 2.5 you had before should be good

My poachers are centre and I barely ski switch and the kick ass, I'd go centre

Not saying they don't kick ass like that I'm just saying your preference is not the norm.

Sure you reduce swing weight marginally but if that's the goal I could argue that you should mount at the point where tip/tail mass is balanced which would likely be in front of the center line since the tip is wider than tail. And that is pretty much unheard of...

It's not wrong to mount anywhere on the ski if that's your preference, I just think that it's generally more preferred on this type of ski to be a bit back from center. So there's a better chance that's where he would like it.

This ski is basically made for pipe and comp skiers who all centre mount

Agree with all manufactures and pros like Candide and Wallish etc. that you should never mount directional skis center unless you are doing nothing but rails. You will get more pop off jumps and far more stability moving back 1 or 2cm back of center even if skiing nothing but jumps in the park. If you use your skis totally out of the park, then mount them in the 5-6cm back range, 50/50 park all mountain 3-4cm range back and nothing but park 1-2cm back range.

K2 had a list of the advantages and disadvantages of mounting from their "all mountain" (best carving and speed stability) marks to center (park rail only use) and mentioned their pros were usually riding from 1cm to 3cm back of center. Wallish uses 3cm back and Candide 1-3cm back of center depending of the ski and I think they do okay in the park with those settings....

So around 1-2cm back from center on the new Sights would be perfect.
