K2 Shreditor 92

Hi Guys,

I am a 25 y.o. male from the Northeast who is shopping around for skis. I am around 5' 10" 200lbs. I am a type 2-3 skier probably more towards 3. I like to ski all mountain, park, trees, etc.

Last winter, I demoed 2015 K2 Shreditor 92's and I really liked then. I was riding the 2015 marker griffon bindings as well. I think I was this setup but have a few questions.

1) 2015 skis or should i go for the brand new 2016?

2) What size griffon binding should I get? Everything that I read says 110

3) Any boot recommendations for this set up?

Thanks in advance for your help.

That's the ski I use when it hasn't snowed for a while and for my ventures into the park. Pretty poppy and has just enough early rise in the tip and tail to allow it to plane in soft snow once it gets up to speed. Also carves really well (sometimes I like to pretend I'm a racer and lay trenches). Overall I would say go for it. It's a pretty solid ski for everything you described. As far as bindings go run the 90 mm brakes and bend them out the 1mm on each side

What is the difference in the size of the binding? Since I am hearing 90 or 110mm what are the benefits of one size or the other?

It's just brake width. The general rule of thumb is no wider than 15mm than your skis waist width. If you can find a 100 mm brake that would be ideal, but 90mm would work better than the 100 mm brake

Glad you liked the 92! I'd recommend a 100mm brake width, but you can get away with the 110. And for boots, go with whatever fits your foot. We have developed multiple models with varying flexes, features, and lasts that will accommodate a wide range of feet. But when it comes down to it, get the boot that fits.

So for the 2015 Shreditor 92's, if I get a Marker Griffon binding 90mm brake, is that okay? I'm investing a good chunk of change so I want to make sure I am choosing the right brake size. It's too bad they don't make 100mm brake for these.

90mm should be fine with a really small bend to each side
