K2 Recoil 179 vs. 2013 LINE Chronic

Hey NSers

I'm 6' 1" and 160 lbs., looking for a park ski to use on the whole mountain in Michigan as well. Looking for a little rocker, so it's narrowed down to these two, but I'm not sure which yet.

Any input?

Either way you'll be fine. From what I hear, Chronics are a bit lighter but correct me if I'm wrong

Park skis aren't heavy - to those above me. Chronics will likely be more poppy/stiff while recoils will be a bit softer. You'll have a ton of fun on either ski - happy shreddin.

Meh, OP is bigger than me and I have no troubles with the weight of recoils, once you get used to it (takes like one run) they are fine, and the weight is sort of a good thing b/c it means that the ski is made beefy and is going to last.

Both are good skis, can't go wrong with either really, just don't let the weight of the recoils scare you b/c they are a great ski.

Uhhh not sure why i accidentaly posted "M". And thanks guys. I'm on 178 Anthems with PX12 demos so I'm used to lead ski

This just occurred to me: Line is actually owned by K2, so the durability will most likely be similar. I would just find what you can find a good deal on

they are they just renamed it to the Iron Maiden and jacked up the price. But if u look at all the tech specs and features of the recoil and the 2013 Iron Maiden, they are the exact same ski.

pretty sure the iron maiden is just rocker/flat/rocker (jib rocker) and this years recoil is rocker/camber/rocker (all mountain rocker? is this the case with next years iron maiden?

Yeah the Chronics are gonna have Capwall and I think different wood in the core, but they have very similar profiles and footprints, and thick edges
