K2 Reckoning Series Release Date

Anyone know when this line is coming out? I talked to a local shop and they said they thought K2 may come out with it mid season this year but they didn't sound confident about it. In between getting the marksmans or just waiting it out for the new skis.

Like discussed in the 2020/21 Gear rumours thread, it looks like it will be a mid season release for the Reckoning 102 and 122 like the Mindbender series was last year. Mid season releases(Mindbender/Enforcer 104 Free etc last year) are usually the second week of January at places at major stores like EVO etc and most stores had them in stock before the end of January.

If you can wait on buying skis than I’d wait as the Reckoning series should be a significant upgrade in performance over the Marksman and Catamaran.

And 112 too apparently, rumors are it'll be like a better shreditor line

That's a lot to hope for, the 102 and 112 were all time greats. But fingers crossed.

Anyone have any more detail? Like flex, rocker profile compared to marksman? They gonna be more or less directional? I’m thinking of the 102 for my park/all mountain jib ski, wish it was marksman width, but it sounds like it’s an improvement otherwise.

Heavy skis are good tho. love you [tag=229241]@patagonialuke[/tag]

Light skis are good too! Fight me Luke!

But really, stupid stoked for this line to come out, That original Shreditor series was so good, those 112's are still top 5 skis I've ever been on. If they're heavy, sick, charge inbounds on em. If they're light, Shift and pillow lines! Can't wait.

Ha, all I want is for them to be good. While I love the sound of a freestyle Mindbender 108Ti, that'd also mean a lot of overlap in their line, so if they wanna make some good light skis, I'd still be happy.

Keep your eyes open guys they are being released into the wild already. Some riders got them in the past week or two so keep your eyes peeled in lift lines/Instagram.

lots of other brands have similar skis too, why so stuck on k2?

Some people really like certain brands for whatever reason (how the ski rides, good experience with customer service, etc.). The shreditor series was pretty incomparable as a hard charging, twin (ish) ski that lots of people liked the feel of. Also, as a larger brand, K2 has a really good warranty program.
