I just bought a new pair of 179 pontoons and i blew the bindings up first run... i need to know from a fellow pontoon skier what a good binding would be for the big bastards.
my buddy just tore his MCL with markers...id debate that one go with head mojo 15 or FKS if you can find them and don't go with px 12s whatever you do personal experience was very bad with them.
i stick with Rossi 140s. every year. i still have my 05 pivot ones that match the purple and blue Scratch Pros from then! im kinda disappointed that the new models arent pivots though.
Black Diamond 02's.
But you'll need to buy tele boots to match them. heh.
Actually, it really depends. The Pontoon (opinion) seems like such a horrible ski to tour with, so don't even consider getting an AT binding. Friends of mine have had a LOT of luck with the Jesters, he has them mounted on his Liberty Phil larose Pro's , and his Gotamas.
Otherwise the Rossi Axial2 200's are pretty beefy.
I was thinking the same thing, FKS is definitely not the safest binding. Still the best binding though cause you don't have to deal with pre release bullshit.
Tyrolia Peak 18/Head Mojo 18X. Not very heavy, but .5lbs heavier than Peak 15s, and any extra weight will be good for pontoons(heavier binding will drive a heavier ski better than shitty Jester type bindings). If you don't want those, then get Peak/Mojo 15s, they are great and durrable. Tyrolias are just the best on the market.
