K2 PE or 1080 Foil

I'm new to freeskiing and I'd like to start with the K2 Public Ennemy or the 1080 Foil.

Two things to consider:

- I want to do backcountry skiing (some)

- I'm a newbie, new to snow parks, etc.

I'm 5'5", 125lbs, what skis should I choose ?

even tho u r a beginner, id say go with the PE. its cheaper and i like the way it skis a lot better, when taken all over the mtn. PE is def the better ski and deal.

Hands done and I've skied both.

The PE looks good but the FOIL is a way better ski. The PE is just not that great of a ski - shame on you. FOIL is the ripper jib ski of the year.

i like foils. they are sick to carve with outside the park and snappy when your hitting it up

When i started freeskiing i first bought the 1080s then traded them in for the pE. I had skied all my life and the 1080 were just a bit too flexy for me. also you cant beat the price of the PE (thanks chinese workers). Other than that, i feel the PE holds a better edge, (esp on ice), and floated a bit better in pow.

I haven't ridded 1080s, but I can say that they Public Enemy is a very good ski and you will definitely be happy with it.

agreed bro the new PE is not as good of an all around ski as it use to be, kinda planky. What it is probably the best ever at is holding up in hte park it is so solidly built this year that it skis less well but I bet None will be breaking and that is a big deal for park skiers.

PS I have skied both.

Ive got a pair of 1080's and they are always fun to screw around onin the park and on trails, not so much for backcountry though
