K2 Kung Fujas vs. Atomic Blog

What's up everyone? New here so forgive my lack of seeing this is it has been posted already.

Been looking into replacing my old Line Prophet 100's for the K2 Kung Fujas (179) or Atomic Blog (177). Most dealers either carry one of the other so it's hard to get an on snow comparison between the two skis. They both seem to be legit all mountain boards for the east but not sure if one is softer than the other or favors what VT has t offer differently.

Anyone out there have experience on either, or could suggest other skis? Was looking to stay in the 100mm waist department for overall pow versatility should we get fresh snow.

Thanks!

My buddy just got the Blogs and he loves them. I got a run in on them and they were responsive on the hard pack and crushed it in the pow. He was throwing big cliffs with them and said they stomped the landings. The float in the pow was great. I would get the Blogs, not only do they look way sicker but they have more rise in the pow from what I've seen on the mountain.

i have the 2010 kung fujas and they are sick. i mostly ski the east coast and they are a great ski for that type of terrain. i've been having so much fun on them skiing the park and the rest of the mountain. they are also very durable and soft so you can definitely shred the whole mountain. hope you find the right ski :)

I only have experience with the 2010 kung fujas but i love em. I use them as my everyday all mountain ski and they get the job done. I rode them in the park and powder and theyre definitely a fun ski. With the tip and tail rocker they float fairly well and i know the 2011s are even wider.

Hope it helps.

Ya if you are trying to use the ski in the park at all I would go with the kung fujas but I think if your gonna use it mostly as your pow stick then go with the blog

yea. I dont really go in the park much. I spend more of my time in the trees, bumps and hitting whatever the groomer has left on the side of the trail to jib off of. still kinda sketched to go with the blog but it seems like a better all mountain options.

The blog is definitely overkill for the east coast. Stick with something under 105mm underfoot. Check out Liberty Helix or Armada Ar7s.

definitely consider the new rossi S3, it's pretty close to what you're looking for, and everyone who's skied it is in love.

dont know anyting about the helix but liberty is a great company. Best customer service I have ever had with a ski company.

demoed a pair the other day and they were the Best ski i have ever skied. carve like a dream on hardpack and float in the pow effortlessly. plus i think i heard somewhere that the contact point is symmetrical so they are still good for skiing switch if that interests you.
