Hey, i'm thinking about buying the K2 Extremes, and i just want to know how they ride. I'm also wondering what is a good binding to pair up with them? Thanks

It seems like it's a safe thing to say that most k2 skis are a bit on the heavy side, my disorderlys are kind of heavy. but i wouldn't let that stop you from getting them, they look good, PK Hunder slays on them.

This is true, I have a pair of absolutely RAPED k2 Silencers that stil carve well. K2 makes bombproof skis, they always will. / THREAD

I don't know who decided that light skis were good. I prefer a heavier ski. You can put momentum into the ski and it is a lot of fun. I would say more fun then feeling like you have nothing on your feet. Light skis only benefit in trekking/hiking.

And yes, k2s are bombproof. I put 2 of the hardest seasons ever on my fujatives, and all they have is rocker and a tail that blew up. They would probably still ski fine.

The extreme is a solid design. It is a solid ski without any fancy-schmancy butter zones or torsion bars.

extreme = new public enemy, so i guess lots of experience, and a tested design that proved its status over the years...yes, stiff n heavy

I've been happy with my pair. Stiff, springy, and not afraid to send jumps way deep. Nothing mind blowing, but they get the job done. I think the graphics are my favorite part.

I have them with the marker griffons and i love em

Pros- Great for all Mountain, Great for Jumps, Sick top sheet design

Cons- A little on the heavy side (Its the PE with a lighter topsheet), Stiff, Wouldent use for rails

Overall: I ski 60/40 (All Mountain/Park) and i Like them alot

Not a fan.

We have them at my shop and they feel pretty damp ie. not very fun. Yes, they are stiff, no, I wouldn't use them for rails. The only reason I'd buy them was if I needed a 50/50 big jumps/all mtn ski. Otherwise, I'm not too stoked on them and I'd be much more willing to go towards a livelier ski.
