K2 Extreme vs Revival?

Hey all, I'm looking for a new pair of sticks for this coming season. I was suggested the Extreme from k2 by a park crew at my Mt.

I rode them and really enjoyed them everywhere I took thfm. I'm looking for something that's more park oriented but can still take me Round everywhere on the mountain. The extreme did that. But when I went and asked a local shop about buying some he suggested I wait for next years revival which has jib rocker. I'm still kinda unsure about the whole zero camber thing but he gave me an interesting physics lesson that enticed me to at least think about it. So,

what do you guys think? Should i spend the extra $300 for jib rocker? The main deciding point for me is of they're going to be any lighter than the extreme. I'm no girly legs but if I can save the work I will. Just a lot of cash to be putting out. I'm putting schizo bindings on whichever pair I get for versatility.

Thanks for the help guys!

Ns forever!

i skied the revial and liked it waay more than the extreme.(i still think the extreme is a great ski) It was more fun with the jib rocker and carved fine.

So you thought it felt pretty stable at high speeds? Did it feel like you lost that poppyness from the lack of camber? Also how was it weight wise?

i felt it was pretty stiff so yes it was stable at high speeds and since pop comes from you legs so i didn't really feel any difference from other skis. And weight i cant compare since demo bindings weigh a shit ton.

Alright, I actually found a shop that has a pair I'm gonna call them and ask for weight. Sadly that's my last determining thing about them lol. Thanks by the way! Just wanted to make sure when I hit 60 over a roller and let the carving flex pop me over it (so fun lol) it won't noodle out haha. Thanks again!

REVIVAL FOR SURE! its an awesome all mountain slayer. both rip in park (revival better, less effective edge, lighter, easier to spin) but way better in pow than extreme. might as well have the best gear you can!

as for the schizo... dont even think about it. marker make awesome bindings but the schizo is heavy, has lots of moving parts and far from dialled yet, there are to many problems. go for straight griffons or jesters and mount between plus 2 and plus 6 depending on how much park you are actually going to ski.

this. the rest of markers bindings are fine but the scizo is not a strong binding, my friend absolutley destroyed his after only two months of use

Revival for sure. I found the Extreme to be a good all around ski, but also found it to be sluggish at times. The revival was super playful and extremely fun. Little rocker in the tip with a schizo all the way back will help in powder snow too. Versatility is the name of the game. I have a pair of 179 with Matching Grifffon Schizo's. PM if interested. Cheaper than you will be able to find in the fall. Brand new.

4 out of the 5 K2 riders I spoke to said they hated them - way too soft and the rocker is not good for landings, they said. Some moved to the new Silencer pretty quickly. Apparently PK has been riding the old Extreme with Revival graphics and is getting a pro model that is the same as the old Extreme.

hi ive riden the 09/10 extreme and i really liked it ! It is stable at high speed and stable when landing. Iam not really got in the park but i found the ski helpfull doing my first 360s etc because it was well supportive..

Negative things: On easy groomers it pretty much sucked, i dont know why but i had almost not grip ... Also for serious powder its a bit to narrow. hope this helped ! In the end i would recommend this ski to anybody who is not spending a lot of time skiing deep pow but besides this ... yeah its pretty much all mnt.
