K2 Domain vs. Armada THall

So I'm looking into getting a new pair of skis for next season. I ski 80% park and 20% all mountain. I'm looking for a softer ski and I know that both of these skis are fairly soft. What I'm really stuck on is price and weight. I've seen threads saying that the Halo's are lighter then the Domains but are the THalls lighter then the Domains? Also, the THall's are a bit more expensive then the Domains. So NS, what ski do you think I should get.

Next year are they even going to have the THall because Tanner's pro model next year is going to be the Magic J?

Thanks for the help :D

Domain is a bit heavier, but the guy at my shop said they rip all mtn. too. The THalls are lighter though. But the domains are killer for the price. Heard nothing but good things about them

Yea, i was looking at the 12/13 thread not sure though if i'm digging the thall graphic though for next year. not a big fan of the gary :/

Get Domains I promise you will not regret it. Ive been on both skis and for the price domains are much more worth it. I was in the same boat as you and CHOSE DOMAINS FOR HOW I LIKE TO RIDE .We could have completely different riding styles which is why I bolded those words .They will ride how you want them to. The fact they're symmetrical makes switch riding just as easy as forwards. Topsheets are super durable too and Ive had minimal top sheet chipping . The flex pattern and rocker helps with butters, press, swaps and all sorts of stuff. I couldn't notice a different in weight but both were mounted with fks so that might be the problem. I thought they would be terrible for jumps because they are rockered and flexy but they completely hold their footing on big jumps. If theres some fresh snow you can float right on top of it without a problem and bob through the tree if you feel like it.The rocker really helps on days where its crud or corn. It keeps my from pushing through the stuff or hooking my edges and instead I stay right on top of it. My only problem is I have a lot of edge cracks on mine but thats completely normal for park skis. Luckily none of them have pulled out.

Sparknotes-My vote is for Domains. Im 6'3 175lbs and they were not overly flexy. One of the best skis Ive ridden for the price.

id choose the punx any day. i own both. the domains seem alot heavier and dead. the punx are so playful, snappy, and responsive. they pop like no other and have an extremely low swing weight.

my 09/10ers however have an edge torn out. they still kick ass but the new ones should come with thicker edges. domains have to edge crack and ive used them for urban and hit concrete stairs.

New punx doesnt have thicker edges but hardened or something similar.

I also own both and had the exact same experience as you. My punx were full rocker after 20 days, free tech upgrade.

Definetly look at the icelantic da'nollies, they are quite soft but they still have the ability to handle big jumps (bigger than what you will be hitting) they are also very durable. The only problem I've had wit them is a small crack in the edge and so topsheet scratching.
