K2 Back 9 Update

Something tells me this contest is going to be a little better, and a little more important than the world superpipe championships.

fuck knows why candide hasn't accapted. he'd have a huge chance of winning that shit. i have hall in my fantasy freeride so hope he goes to wsp, but would be happy also to see him compete in this sick event!

yeah but that could be possibly the reason that tanner hasnt accepted yet, because he may be waiting to see if he can ski in the world superpipe AND do the comp. either that or his heels are still super fucked and he doesnt wanna mess them up.

Marc Abma

Marc-Andre Belliveau

Eric Hjorleifson

Eric Pollard

Andy Mahre

Mike Douglas

Rory Bushfield

Anthony Boronowski

i am disapointed with the rider list.

no pep?

damn that's a lot of cash on the line! this should be one of the dopest events yet, i'm thinking pollard will take it

okay...you don't know the pep and canada story do you? his ski is named the fujative because of it. let's just say that they don't dig him too much, so reply above could be sarcasm or it could actually be true. but since his girl just had a little baby, we'll choose that one.

how can you guys be disapointed with the list, those are some of the best all mountain skiers out there, they didn't pick just park skiers because they would get their ass handed to them

i say

1st Mark Abma

2nd Eric Hjorleifson

3rd Andy Mahre

I don't see how you guys can't see the talent in that list, its huge

i hope there is some sort of dvd/film i can buy of the whole event. as far as the who should/shouldn't be in people are busy and that line up is with out question gonna be so so so good.

Should be a sick comp, I feel bad for the guys hitting the feature in the second group of the day, I know the snow's deep and soft but the bomb holes from the first groupe are definitely going to be firming up by the time the second group rolls in, should be interesting to see how it turns out!

GO ABMA

GO TONY

and GO ERIC!

(I say Charley Ager should be on that list but that's cause I know how he skis)

woah pep seems like a terrible person from the discription you just put. If someone who had nerver heard of him read what you said they would be woah a guy who has children at young ages without marriage and has bad records in foreighn countries...hahaha.

This is not a little more important than the world superpipe championships. This is MUCH more important. This is the type of contest we need more of in skiing. I hope it will be a fusion of freestyle and big mountain, something where you have to be a great skier, not just a great jumper, to win. It is too bad CR will not be there, I would have picked him.

1st Abma

2nd Hjorleifson

3rd Boronowski

Where's JP Auclair?

I think this event is more important for the progression of our sport and how it will push freeskiing events to the next level. But if the WSC goes off that just might be the reason Ski Superpipe gets into the next Olympics So I would have to say that the WSC is more important until the Back 9 proves itself as a legit event.

I have no idea what i was thinking when i just typed the word "footie." My apologies to the NS community.

pollards got this one in the bag, just look at anything hes ever ridden. he can throw down at any time on any feature:park or backcountry. the only other person to come close would be sage or boronowski

I am going to make two...um...predictions, Rory Bushfield will win hole, lets say, ummmmm hole #4 and pfff Mike Douglas will win hole #2...just a guess... :|
