i was checking these out on the web and i saw one for 700 and was wondering if anyone has experience with one and if it is worth it

JVC's camcorders are OK. I had one of the lower models ($600ish) and it was a good cam for basic filming. However, the cheaper JVC cams under $1000 don't have a very high picture quality nor do they have progressive scan CCD's (makes picture much smoother and less 'digital').

a good place to check camcorder reviews is www.cnet.com and there is another good site but I cannot remember. you can also type in 'XXXX+review' in Google.com search engine (XXXX is camera model and NO quotes) and you should come up with some sites that have reviews.

cheers!

i got a jvc for 900 bucks the jvc dvr 300 and the qaulity is not bad at all.. If you buy a winde angle and a uv filter for the snow the qaulity is amazing for the price. ITs really hard to film with tho, like follow cams and stuff like that cus it lacks the handle, but if you got a tripod the camrea works just as good as any high end digital camrea.. iF you dont trust me i can show you some of my edited work with it, you would swear it was 35 film. I would say if thats what you can afford go for it, it will suprise you.

Hey I have a JVC dvl305u and I'm looking to sell it. I have an extended life batter which gets a solid 2+ hours out in the cold of minnesota. If your interested in it shoot me an email. I'm asking for 400 (it was a 100 dollar battery), I had it cleaned at the end of the summer when I was done using it and my Cannon GL1 showed up. Let me know. Prins@MidwestSkier.com
