So both shoot HD, im kinda wanting to get into photography and videography, but videos IS my main concern.

I was thinking the canon so i could try photography, and get a variaty of cheap lenses.

And the manual focas on the T1i is nice too,.

Anyone know which is better off for me?

i have the t1i and the vid quality is sick but there's no manual controls so that sucks, but you there is a work around so you can at least control aperture. if i were you can id save up and get the 7d when it comes out.

here's some test footage i shot with it

FUUCKCKKK the 7d looks SICK!!!!

and only the summr video of yours is shot with the T1i right?

Im really liking the 60 fps, but im also meeting my mom and grandma half way as a christmas presant.

I may be able to use my birthday presant in there bevuase the 7d seems like the best camera, and video camera out.

I may have to go for the t1i though, the JVC looks really dull and shitty in my opinion, where the Canons focas is alot sicker. I wish i could see a skiing edit with it.

Thanks for the info man +K

Does no one else remember the thread where you begged NS for money because you guys were broke and couldnt make rent? And now your looking at getting a 7D?

un-fucking-believable.

PM'ed

Also the 1700$ price tag is huge. Im wondering if its worth it to save up all my christmas money, get a job and save my birthday money for it.

They i couild have it by the end of February, unless a new one is out in that time.

Is it worth it to save all f that up for it? or am i better of getting the 500D split 3 ways with my parents and grandparents for christmas?

one thing you should also think about is if your gunna wanna get some lenses, if your just starting out with canon i would get the 500d and buy some good glass with the left over money. bodys are constantly being updated and going out of date, but good glass will last for a longgg time

Well i was for sure thinking of getting a fisheye and a wide angle, but probibly just a cheap adapter.

Do you guys know how much adapters run for?

and how much good legit lenses run for?

And the 7D is so tempting becuas i REALLY want that 60fps

So i think i MAAYYY save up

Interesting, you'd rather have a 7d over a scarlet? 60fps > 120fps? i dunno about that bub.

theres no point in buying an hd cam if your just gunna put shitty glass on it, the cheapest good fisheye your gunna find is a Peleng 8mm for around $300 which i have and is used in that vid of mine. i would get that and a 50mm 1.8 which is only $100 and then youd have a nice starting setup, plus the kit lens

Guys idono why you are trying to help this kid, he clearly doesn't have a clue about any of this and just wants to spend as much money as he can.

Kid, go buy a Nikon D40 and a flip video camera. Both are suuupper sexy and I can almost guarantee that you will never understand either of the cameras fully.

Fuck off AGIAN man.

I don't have any clue about it, why do you think I'm asking for help. Read the fucking first post where it say's I am looking to get into photography / videography. I suggested the Everio because its on airmiles and my mom can get it free for me. The 7D came up so I asked if its worth saving for 8 months to get.

What is "iduno"? I think you should learn some proper grammer dude.

Fuck off.

Thanks for the help guys +K to everyone but this asshole.

lol no one should "start getting into photography" by buying the newest camera body on the market.

But Im not going to try to explain it to you because your mommy will probably buy you a benz as your first car.

Ever since you changed your name you've been going downhill.

And i just realized, why are you comparing a vcr with a dslr camera?

people can not just buy a 7d with no experience it is really hard to shoot legit video and you will have to spend way more money then just the camera with a kit lens...
sigh

Old thread, :(

If i had gotten a job and didnt sit on NS all day it might be possible.

Also ive been playing with a friend's D60 alot and ive decided that a video camera is what i want over a camera for sure.

Now im goign with a Sony HDR XR100 and a shitty fisheye adapter.

hdd cameras are noobish, get a canon hf100, or any other avchd camera, i think that sony one comes in one thats not hhd. i mean probably didnt deserve a facepalm but i think there are better cameras for the price.

I scoped out the canon hf100 and i really dont see how its much greater then the HDRXR100. Same frame rates, no hdd. It has a mic line in which is a + and 37mm threads which is a +.

Im not trying to battle you which one is better at all, because your obviously WAY more educated then me. Help would be awesome though.

My price range is around 600$ refurbed or on sale, if there is some avchd cams you could suggest that would be awesome.

^ this exactly i have one and not a huge fan still gets good shots but it's a bitch to upload. Also memory is not always good. If you could bump your price range a little defs get an HV30 really good quality i know a lot of people on ns like them too.

What I don't get is how your calling me out for telling this guy hes a fucking idiot, then you tell him hes a fucking idiot..? The kid clearly has no idea what he wants, and should of never even considered a 7D or anything of the sorts since he is supposedly poor, and graciously accepts donations from other NS members.

But eheath noticed my name change, doesnt that get me +K or +SCN or something?

(Street Cred Ni...)
