That documentary was one of the rawest movies I've ever seen. Yes it is about snowboarder Kevin Pearce, but at this point its all the same honestly. It definitely got me thinking about our sport in ways that I haven't before. The film also touched upon CR's and Sarah's accidents too. Definitely check it out if you can.

yeah man, really eye-opening. i'm for sure going to think twice about riding without a helmet now. it's so crazy to think about what could go wrong and how it could just so drastically change your entire life as well as the people's lives around you. i don't want my mom to ever have to hang out with my unconscious body

It's a hundred percent the most heart wrenching documentary I've seen. Especially for anyone here who knows Sarah's and CR's story, you get an in-depth look at the families behind those with traumatic injuries from action sports. Kevin's road to recovery is hard to watch but gives you a lot to think about. Lucy Walker does a great job bringing the audience along the road with Kevin's family as they try to help him heal while he continues to blow them off. You get to learn about Kevin and Shaun's rivalry leading up to the Olympics and how Kevin was the guy to squash the flying tomato. Also watching Kevin's crash will make you jump. It's tough. Watch it on HBO GO.

it is a great documentary and a must watch for anyone on NS. it is super emotional and very informative about the many aspects of traumatic brain injuries.

it is a very very heavy movie though.

Super good doc ... aside from the main concept of it, I really enjoyed how much shit was said about shawn white. Not only that, white' own comments in the doc proved he was a dick. All he did was talk about how much he wins.

the scene where he got back on snow made me really really appreciate my love for skiing, too.

I loved it for it's open portrayal or recording of what happened. So many videos on this type of thing only show a few shots of them in a hospital bed and then an epic recovery. This movie was just so sobering with how much it showed and covered.

By far one of the best documentaries that has been produced in our industry. It just lays everything down on the line and shows you raw emotions. It really shows you just how easy it is to go from the being on top to the being in a wheel chair with just one fall.

Yeah that was pretty good, not as heavy as I was anticipating though. Very well done documentary

its a great movie to really get an idea of just how dangerous the sport is and who it affects outside of just the athlete. it was tough watching rory talk about sarah. i suggest everyone take the time to watch this movie and give huge props to kevin for how strong an individual he is!

does the movie talk about trevor rhoda at all? one of the nicest kids i've ever got the chance to meet and hang out with

Yes, a portion of the documentary touches on him and his story as Kevin goes and talks to him.

And to the other comment the way I watched was HBO Go. If you know somebody that has it just try to get it from them .

I was a mess through that whole film. It's fabulously laid out, and pulls you into not only winter sports, but the whole family dynamic, competitive circuit, and unedited reality that the pros we look up to face. CR's & Sarah's segments were hard, but I'm glad they showed how easily a fall can go one way or the other. It also is great that they incorporated them, because in the end, winter sports fanatics are all fighting the same demons--be it falls, avys, paralysis, brain injuries, or death. I really appreciated how Kevin and his frends weren't shy to admitting things are drastically different. Totally worth the watch, and totally worth wearing your helmet on the days you're "just taking a couple laps with friends."

Watching Sarah's part brought a tear to my eye. The whole documentary was really well made based on them having to use a lot of old footage

just watched this in a class. really well put together documentary and it really made me think.

I've hit my head really hard more than a handful of times and somehow never been concussed so I'm super lucky. I'd rather die on the spot than have to deal with what kevin and his family went through.
