Just took AP physics exam... wtfffff

Alright so ive taken a good amount of APs now.... but this one was just impossible.

All the practice tests i took were alright, and i thought i would be close to a 5 on mechanics, but the test was impossible... The multiple choice were 10x harder and the FRQs were questions that were hard to comprehend.

I left after Mechanics and im not even going to take electricity and magnetism part...

wtf college board... wtf....

but seriously. we have this prodigy kid in the class, I'm sure he got a 5, but he was even worried after the MC about still getting a 5.
 
i know a few friends who are taking it, i'll let you know how they said it was. i took physics B last year, test was a bitch
 
i took physics B last year. i sucked balls at the class, got a C- for the class and didnt learn jack shit cause i was stupid and didnt do any hw or anything. i still ended up getting a 4 on the exam, so you might do better than you think. i though i was surely getting a 2 or 3 after i took the exam. if it was this year i totally wouldve put more effort into it, i realize that now
 
I took the Physics B exam today.

It was a bitch, the multiple choice was much harder than any practice test we had.

Our final was the exact 2008 AP exam, and i got a 5 on it, but the one today was much harder.

The free response was decent, but the multiple choice sucked.

Also the fact that I have been out of the class for 4 weeks and studied for a total of 20 minutes in those 4 weeks, didn't help
 
everyone i talked to says the same thing as you. i failed the calculus ab exam miserably last wednesday so i dont even want to know how you feel haha
 
haha yea i took that one today, so ridiculous. i just started writing ridiculous answers when i got to the e&m free response
 
The percentages you need to get certain scores changes every year because they take everyones score and compare them. So if it was a ridiculously hard test and everyone else did as bad as you, you may end up with a fine score.
 
Well I'm going to speak fo the OP, I know him irl and he got a perfect score on the math section of the SAT. So it must be pretty fucking hard.
 
true... but i doubt if the cut-off is a 75% for a 5, that they are gonna curve it less than like a 65% to get a 5 instead...

And yea dude, AP stats this year was alright i either got a 4 or 5 not sure at all.

ab calc- i have like no idea how i did, like i feel like i could have gotten a 3 or 5 i have no ideas mans
 
Yep. Mechanics was alright except i sucked at inertia problems. and then E+M is so fucking hard... Plus our teacher did such a terrible job teaching us. E+M was a joke
 
yea same thing here dude. I dont care about E+M because my teacher like gave us 2 months to learn it and he knows it well but just didnt want to teach it at all.

mechanics is sweet though and its really the only physics that i find interesting... besides quantum mechanics of course
 
Took Lit last week and it was easy, probably got a 4. Now i have psychology tomorrow which Im about to blow at because i fucking hate psychology with a burning passion. Then I have art history on wednesday and im fairly confident that ill get a 5.
 
i took the physics C mech. part, it blew my mind. i had no idea what to do with 2 of the free response questions lol
 
Its all good, because sounds like everyone got raped and grading is based on everyone who took it. Who got raped the least? hehe
 
I don't know about Physics C, but for Physics B you only need to get 40 of the 70 MC questions right, and you are on pace for a 5.

On my final (which was an exact replica of the 08 AP exam)I got a 58 of the possible 80 point on the free response, and ended up with a 5.

So yeah, the Test is pretty forgiving.
 
I took the AP Physics 10 years ago and got a 2. Could not possibly care less since it didnt affect where I am today!
 
yeah what the fuck i hope that this means the fizz b curve is gonna be a rather large one because that multiple choice was such a bitch
glad to see i'm not the only one...hope this means a good curve on it
