I officially declare this season a write-off. with marginal conditions at Christmas and no snow forecasted this will be one long crappy season hiking booters. Backcountry conditions look grim with depth hoar, sun crusts and repeated melt/freeze cycles making the snowpack unstable. Road trips wil be the only salvation, but I still got a pass to pay for. At least I have a piece of shit car to work on...
