Just picked up a d60

By the time I was 16 I had owned 8 cameras including dvxs, vxs, gls, and bodies. All paid for by myself. Not once did I ask my parents for help. Were you so stupid when you were young you couldn't get a job and save money or are you one of those people who thinks anyone better off than themselves are obviously bad people?

I enjoy the irony in that I get called a douche, and a noob, for giving a slightly personal attack, in which I was mature enough to retract. But you will receive no hate at all. Also, please tell me where you've seen my work? The few shots that I've uploaded to newschoolers, the most infamous in quality cultured image hosting site out there?

I won't post anything I care about until I get a site up, so thanks for judging the shots that I've put up of the things I'm selling. Im sure that picture of those goggles for sale truly show my abilities and understanding as a photographer.

Please, one more person tell me that buying a body "for fun" is a good decision, especially when there are other items he could have that could help his work. This time Ill actually delete this from my threads, because I should of known better and paid attention in English, the antagonist never wins, no matter what truths his statements hold.

I'd like to see some of your work. You're making yourself out to be quite the photographer and I look forward to seeing some of these hammers.

I paid for the D60 and three lenses including a fish adapter, totallying 900$ i paid 800$ of it and its was well worth it. i shoot prolly erry day and have enjoyed just about every single time i go and shoot. I use it mainly for action and landscape. It was a good purchase on your part. hope you have shooting man.

and yes, put up some pics soon pweeaaase? heres a few of mine.

dude seriously, shut the fuck up. you really ARE ruining your reputation. you're acting like the biggest bitch ever.

so what if his dad does pay for his house, food, and a few other luxuries. you have to remember HE IS 16. I don't know many kids where their parents don't pay for that. I don't know how old you are but stop hating on this kid because of his age..

This was a fun read.. both sides do have points but just not stated well. Whether people say they buy stuff themselves or not is irrelevent. People need to take into account all the other purchases parents make so they can go out and buy their "own" camera etc.. at 16 (at any age really).

When i was 16, i was working a job and buying my own bmx and ski stuff, but my parents were buying school supplies, clothes, lift tickets, etc.. so i could afford my own stuff.

despite has some points and regardless of its value to the thread, people need to realize that parents help more than you realize at 16.. you all will figure this out when you get older and have to buy either skis or camera or rent...

hah yeah Im glad that this thread provided you with enjoyment, and that you were smart enough to not be entirely baised by my lack of fluff words. I also personally enjoyed the thread, but it cost me my karmaz (oh my!) and quite a few angry pm's from multiple people who could never prove me wrong nor back up why they were agreeing with the OG poster.

FOR ALL THOSE THAT WOULDN'T LISTEN TO ME >> listen to him, he says it a much nicer and mature way.

East_toast.. No I dont suggest getting a D60, go buy a used D70/D70s.. Higher flash sync speed, wont have to buy AF glass, and its half the price.. PM davedinuzzo he knows his stuff and was helped me out with my switch to Nikon.
