I got yo back.
OP i HIGHLY recommend this lens. great for beginners.

just go out and shoot as many photos as you can on manual. try out different stuff and find out what works.

Yeah shut your mouth porky. The other lenses in its price range are made of the shittiest quality. Scaling aperture kit lenses do not provide quality, but rather they provide for soccer moms and your traveling grandparents

Not bad for $200. The kid is obviously new to slrs, i think its perfect for any newcomer. Scaling aperture kit zoom lenses are not the way to go if you are looking for more than vacation photos

Whoa bud, fuck you i said nothing wrong. You can get a 35mm f2 for 100 bucks and they're 10 times better, just saying. No need to show your age and try and insult me with unoriginal jokes, im just giving my 2 cents.

i thought it was a thyroid disorder. Either way he was born to be fat and there is nothing we can do about it so we should stop making fun of him for it

so even when heath helps people get pissed off. . .

I shoot on a D90 and have since it first came out. picking a lens is going to depend on what you're going to shoot. I really really like my 50mm 1.8 but I don't use it much because its not wide enough. But it's super cheap and the sharpest lens you'll get in that price range. It's great for portraits or people photos.

I like wide angles because I do a lot of landscape photos. My 10.5mm fisheye is amazing but is a very specific lens. 75% of the time I shoot on a Sigma 17-70mm that gets the job done. It's an ok lens, not the best but no one is going to notice.

You deserve a swift kick in the groining. Just because someone is different from you doesn't me its nbd to just make jokes about them, you fucking queer.

I completely agree with your message, but don't you find this little touch at the end a tad hypocritical?

Yeah, I am fat, im just getting mad at you for bringing unnecesary jokes into a media and arts forum, when Heath just simply corrected you.

Corrected? works in cinematography. I like to focus on photography and enjoy it very much. I have invested MUCH of my time looking into lenses, read a few on photography (all of which dedicate a large chapter to lenses). I am being corrected by one of the up and coming ski filmers. I enjoy every single one of his edits and think he brings something new to the table. But when he comes into a thread and says "I HEARD that...". He is simply taking someone else's opinion and using it as his own opinion. Then everyone sucks his dick about how amazing he is. It is insulting to be corrected as someone who has spent so much time researching and studying photography. I dont watch some kids edit and tell him how my friend doesn't agree with how he used color correction. Im sure im not the only one who feels this way.

So my opinion and my source aren't as good as yours? I've heard/read from a few sources that the 35mm 1.8D isn't as good as the 35mm f2. Sorry that you think your opinion is above mine, Im never said you were an idiot, i even said "im not trying to talk down on you" i didn't discredit your opinion. Use the lens, i dont give a shit. I do tons of research too, since getting my redrock/looking into an af100 I spend lot of my free time looking at reviews about lenses, my opinion is just as good as yours.
