someone just told me that my friend maggie has a brain tumor, and she's only 18. she found out about a week ago after collapsing from a seizure. they say it's benign, but brain surgery is always super risky.this has me really shaken up, especially because she is one of my best friends. i'm nearly the entire way across the country for college so i can't see her. i can't believe this is happening. it feels like a really bad dream that i can't wake up from.

send her some vibes, please

my grandma had the same thing about a month ago actually and came out fine from surgery hopefully your friend will to

Yea good thing it's benign, major vibes going her way man. Why does this kind of thing have happen to someone so young?

I know how you feel.

my mom died of a type 4(worst kind) brain tumor in 2002 when I was seven. She died after going through 3 seperate surgeries after the third the mayo clinic told us to take home and take some pain pills.

Putting it out there but if Univ. Healthcare is put into place, obama would tell us to go home and die right off the bat.

Fuck why do bad things happen to good people it pisses me off

Why cant it happen to the people who are convicts that are like 80 and still in jail FUCK

word, +++++++++++++++++ vibes to her.i've got a cousin in her 20s, single mother, who has another cyst on her spine that's unoperatable- the reality of it all is really scary, i know the feeling.hope it turns out fine for your friend

Seeing that you cannot see her, you should call her. That really sucks man, I don't know how I could go through something like this. Best luck for her, you, and her family and friends.

Hey man don't worry about it. My mom had a brain tumor almost too large to remove.

She had Stage IV lung cancer and she made it through that portion fine. It was the metastatic cancer that took her away.

Encouragement and be a good friend. Thats the best thing you can do for her man.

vibes+++

Plus vibes for your friend. When my best friend and I were 12 he got a brain tumor and underwent surgery so I know what it feels like to be in your position. The best of luck to her.

its stories like these that make you realize how good your life is. it makes you appreciate everything you have so much more

i hope she gets well soon and the surgery goes well!

this happened to my friend as well when she was like 19 or so. she had the surgery and turned out fine. it'll be ok, just be glad its benign.

one of my friends found out the same way, except she found out she had two of them, one benign and one malignant. she got the first removed fine but she's admittedly been a little batty/slower (the slower part isn't noticable at all) ever since. She's taking this semester off school to get the other removed since the last one was done over the summer.
