sup motherfuckers, My summer seasonal internship for Environmental Education just ended, had a hella fun time working with kids and teaching about nature but goddamn waking up early sucks... My Internship was thru AmeriCorps so I had to complete a certain amount of hours in 4 months..... I thought I was going good on that until 3 weeks ago my supervisor told me I was 150+ hours behind cuz they let me go early way too often and I also needed a few days off to travel for the enduro series.

long story short, the last 3 weeks ive been working 50-60 hours a week, which wouldn't be that bad if I was getting paid hourly but I was on stipend pay so I was gettin paid the same as if I was working 30 hours a week.

anyways it was a fucking grind but I am so happy I had that experience

I have some friends that do outdoor ed and they love it but they say it can be a grind. Hiking and being outside is fun and all but there are definitely days they would rather be inside but they gotta power through. 50-60 hour weeks outside is pretty intense tho, those are farmer hours lol

As an environmental teacher, i sure hope you didn't use a car to get to work.

I did but its a Prius loaded with anti establishment bumperstickers. each one adds 10 mpg to my current average of 50mpg so it balances out

wordd, it gets fuckin hot here too especially in July, there were a couple weeks full of 90 degree days with humidity in the 80% range and felt like death not being able to go inside to some AC. Love the work but damn that shit was brutal

Sup, hippy. I love it when you lazy fucks pretend like you work. "Environmental Education" is just a buzzword for eating and smoking random plants to see which one gets you the most high. Yeah bro, such hard work.
