Just a question: Macbook Pro

So my grandfather bought me a macbook pro 15" size, but i already have a sony vaio that i like better.
just trying to get a feel for how much people would pay for it.
it comes with the free ipod touch too
so how much would you pay/are you interested in buying a 15" macbook pro with ipod touch, brand new in box????

That's kind of a douche thing to do. Thats a really expensive gift and a nice gesture. Tell him you like the laptop you have right now, etc etc.

but I guarantee the MBP is better then the sony, you should really try it

wow, i didnt realize everyone loves macs so much...
i personally hate them, my sony does way more than a macbook does, its faster, more storage, better screen, the only thing it doesnt have is an apple on the cover
just if you were to buy it how much would you pay? no more hatin on me for being anti mac please, i get it enough from my friends at home

seriously tho, if you were to look at the specs for each my sony is far better than the macbook
theyre just hyped up a ton so people buy them
you pay twice as much for them and get half of the actual computing capability
thats why i am trying to sell it, i know how much other ppl love em so i figured i would let someone else enjoy it cuz i cant
 
Since it is brand new you could get close to retail (1100 or so) then sell the i pod touch separate, since people jizz of macbooks.

I still dont understand taking the MBP over a sony but whatever.

Although the right thing to do is to tell your granpa that you like your current laptop because that is a fucking expensive as shit gift.
 
And a brand new Macbook Pro is not 1100, its 2 Grand in Canada so what like 1700 or so in the US? But just tell your grandpa about why you dont really want it and maybe see if he understands,cause no granpa of mine ever bought me a brand new macbook fuckin PROOOOOOOOO. All in all if i were you tho,take that macbook pro man, its free,sell the sony.

Let me guess, you play computer games and use the internet? That's really the only reason you could ever like some PC over a mac. My macbook pro, which is almost 3 years old, can run editing programs 10 times better than your sony can and the programs are 100 times better then the ones your sony will try to run. But like i said, you probably play computer games and just use the internet on your computer, in which case your dumbass mind would like a sony better.
 
An old 60s muscle car has tons of power, and a small import has very little power compared to the muscle car, but will beat it off the line.

If you didnt understand that, what im trying to say is PCs NEED those better specs because the operating system is running way more background apps and failing way harder. Where OSX doesnt need crazy specs to run really solid. But obviosuly you dont care so ill just stop here

BINGO! took the words right out of my mouth. If you ever get into anything artistic (cinematography, photography, graphic design, audio production, animation) you are going to kick yourself in the ass when your pc won't get you anywhere with your artistic field of interst. but like eheath said, if youre playing video games and using the internet you're dumbass mind would like the sony better.
 
^he should give it back to his grandpa if he decides to stay with his sony, not sell it like a douche
