Jumps that look smaller on film

I can usually tell when a jump is 55 and when it is 20. Sometimes they only look about 5 - 10 ft smaller at the most. But if you can get the right angle, the jump can also look bigger

This isn't NSG..
And yea I know what you mean OP. I feel like jumps always look way smaller to me on film.

also, i realized yesterday that jumps feel a lot smaller when you never actually see them from the side while going up the chairlift.

Everything looks smaller on film. You should see what those park shoot gap to rail setups look like in person... intimidating

For sure, I went over and checked out the PBP EDIAS jumps at Ski Bowl last spring. they were pretty damn big. So was the sunset table top at timberline for the West Coast Session/Can't Stop. In order to clear it people were dropping and going straight really damn far up the hill.
