the answer isnt to switch skis again man. its your boots. what youre describing sounds like shinbang, and i suggest the following:
1.tighten your boots tighter. if theyre loose, nomatter how much more comfy they feel, you can slam your shin into the tongue because of the space.
2. invest in some good quality boots that fit you right if you havent already. boots are the most important thing you can buy.
3.if that doesnt work, buy a booster strap. not sure where you can get them, somebody can probably help me with a link. they'll help with shinbang tons.
4.just condition and strengthen your ankles.somebody posted on how to do it a while back. if i remember, its just lifting yourself onto your toes, holding for a count of ten, and then back down. do ten reps as frequently as you wish
5.invest in that shinsaver thing if nothing else works. somekid posted a link to a foam pad that was designed to circumvent shinbang. i cant remember the website/product name, but i hope somebody can help me out with that too.
hopefully that helps.
