Jump?

has anyone ever made a summer jump? and if so what did u make it out of and what did u land on and stuff? or dose anyone have any idea of how to make one? even if its small it could be fun

I was thinking of trying, we have a pond and a hill if I can get eneough plywood its very doable. I was wondering about skis though, I mean if they come off do they float? And can you swin with ski boots on or do you have to wear a life vest?

definetly a life vest and turn your dins up as high as the will go and hope your skis dont pop off

Will skis float? I have a way to make them retrievable if they pop off and sink, but has anybody ever by chance deep-sixed a ski before? If anybody has I have to wonder how you managed that.

you can just dive for it. You shouldn't be jumping into anything that deep, unless you have one hugeass ramp. Or you could take some parachute cord and tie them to something and the bindings. Better to just jump into like 15 foot water

It's better to just go to the water ramps in Lake Placid or somewhere. Don't turn your dins up as high as they go. That stresses the springs and causes them to release easily. Put them 3 or so below the highest setting. Tie a rope from your ski brakes to your boots. Make it long enough so that if a ski pops off in the air it won't come back and smack you in the face.

Um, we are jumping into no less than 10 feet. The pond drops straight off to to a flat bottom so you cant exactly jump into shallow water, unless you like rocks covered by only 3 inches of water.

i think building a water ramp is kinda hard but go for it

i heard tht if ur jumps big u need bubbles to help impact the landing

^ya it wouldnt exactly be massive because i have a substantail flat area before I hit water but it could be big eneough to make it fun
