Jump onto Rail

We have a 2 foot high 10 foot long double barrel PVC rail, we need to figure out how to get onto it. WE have 2 factor x ramps, but it seems like if you tried to use them, they wouldnt work because the apex would be to small for skis to handle, if we built one out of plywood it would have to be 2 feet high, but would the steepness of the actual jump matter if we had enough speed?

If you make it out of play wood it should be fine if its like 4' long or at a 45 degree angle

make a mellow ramp out of wood thats 2' minus the height of the factor X jump, and bolt the plastic job onto the top for a lip, or just make the thing shorter to save work and speed. I made that mistake a few times b4 i learned

alright if you know where your rail is going to be...just put it on the ground then put the x factor in from then get some dirt or sand and make a jump out of that...becuase sometimes snow doesnt stick to plywood to if its dirt it will be just like normal ground. And if you make it out of dirt you can also but a curve on it and make it the way you want...vs having limitations with plywood bending and what not. So just do the dirt thing...thats what i did for my 2 rails

Are you using astroturf as the inrun material? If not then disregard this post.

I have a 12ft long box and used astroturn as an inrun material. I have a small backyard with no hills so I had to completly construct an inrun ramp. My ramp consists of an 8 foot tall tower that is 4'x4' and a roughly 10' long ramp. The drop-in starts at 45 degrees for 7 ft then mellows to 0 degrees and back up at 20 degrees. It has worked very well with some soapy water on it, but was a lot of work to put together. I'll have to get some pics, and write a guide on how I built it, one of the days.

i was so pissed, i set up my jib and i used like normal carpet cause i thought it would slide but it barely slid, so i had to make a step on instead

well if your going do use the factor x, put something ver it. they dont hold an edge at all
