Yeah I can dig that. Show reels take long enough with out syncing audio (all audio was recorded externally) then cutting it up, along with jumping back and forth in the story line. Trust me it is much less confusing with out words haha.
Agreed, it's just another step in the process and in the end I think it'd take away from the reel. Hearing random snippets of interviews and narrative from short films would be pretty disorienting and take away from the main goal of a reel; displaying your visual art.
