Judging Criteria for a big air event...

I found that on the website of the Canadian Freestyle Ski Association. I found it interesting how they judge somebody's performance on his capacity to spin more or to catch more air than on his capacities to make his run look smooth. A nice corked 900 should be worth more than a 1440.

well thats where to good ol saying of freestyle contestes really arent free... but fuck them, ride a real contest fuck ussa(the american equivalent)

thats the whole idea behind 'big' air! THE IDEA IS TO GO BIG. Since we stress style so much, we dont think about the difficulty of the trick. Big air is really the only newschool contest that can be judged really evenly. Pipe is ok too.

Big Air is all about throwing down something technical. Normally style isn't a key point. Not to say that Big Air is my favorite kind of even, but it really helps with progression. Eventually guys steez out the Big Air tricks and they get moved over to slopestyle. Progression is what it's all about. Hey, somebody might throw a 1440 on the money-booter in 2 or 3 years. You never know where the sport is going.
