Jskis vacation 2020

Interested too, heard somewhere they were noticeable stiffer than the blends, but still soft, tho dont take my word for it.

They're definitely on the more buttery end of the spectrum but in a very different way than something like the Blend.

The Blend has one very strongly defined "hinge" point in from of the boot that allows for insane nose butters but are actually relatively stiff in the tail which makes for decent stability on landings but overall a bit of an awkward ride for anything outside of the park/streets.

We use what we call a more intelligent or "deep" flex to the ski, meaning yup, it's one of the softest skis on the market, but when you're charging it doesn't feel soft and actually gives you really good grip/stability. The Vacation flexes mostly under your boot so when you're carving it actually contours to the snow and gives you super good hold while maintaining a loose, surfy sidecut. Then when you're slash and popping and playing because it hinges closer to your boot you have a lot more control and are actually able to lock into butters (with the ability to pop out of them) rather then flexing way out on the nose or tail where you aren't as centered.

In terms of the overall market for skis the Vacation is a pretty weird one, sorta wide, sorta soft, good for park, but also a "pow" ski in certain regions. It's actually the only ski I ride, I have one pair mounted at recommended (-4cm) with Shifts for touring and another mounted at -2cm with Pivots for park/normal day usage, definitely my favorite pair of skis I've ever been on for my style of skiing.

Remember we also offer a 100% money back guarantee! So you can buy the skis, ride them on your own mountain with your own bindings on your own time and if you're not completely stoked on them after a handful of days skiing you can literally send them back for a different size, model or your money back.

I skied the 2019 vacations mounted with pivots. I felt that they were way to soft and whenever I would push the ski it would just fold over, and it felt like it had no backbone. I like to ski everything on the mountain, and in my opinion they aren’t that great unless you’re just doing butters or in the park 100% of the time.

they are not confidence inspiring for all mountain, but definitely work. you cant point and pray, but if you are calculated with your turns they are very fun, but not hard charging

Curious what height/weight you are and what size you got? Always recommend sizing up on these to give a better blend of all-mtn to park performance

Hmm that's the size I would have recommended for you! I'm 5'9" 180lbs and ride the 186cm which is perfect for shredding all-mtn, but at your weight I would have kept you on the 180cm unless you're a super aggressive skier.

Remember we do offer a 100% Money Back Guarantee so if you think you want to try the longer length or believe a different ski would be better for you we're happy to swap that out. Just fill out the form here: https://jskis.com/pages/warranty

I would say that I am a pretty aggressive skier and I did send them back for the money back guarantee.
