JOSS Winners

Yeah, it's weird that jacob wasn't invited in the first place. Kinda takes away from two smaller names getting the chance of a lifetime, when you have a big name winning. I really wanted Gus to win :(
 
Jacob was not invited because this this a film/photo event as well, as you may know jacob is one of the sickest skiers on the planet, but in order to win JOSS you need to get stuff on film so Jacob did not get an invite so he could prove that he was good at this to, he stepped up and matched his great skiing by working well and getting a great video together..

Its extreamly ahrd to choose 8 skiers!

As for what happens if Jossi is out, I am not sure yet, I have tried to get a hold of Jossi and as soon as I know whats up I will make a decision on what to to, but I can say that (in no particular order) Gus, Matt M and Bobby are the 3 guys right below the now qualified jacob and Mike...

if jossi doesn't compete, i hope gus gets it. he deserves to get this break. he would kill it at the JOSS.

bobby would throw down on this setup. more doubles than any of the other guys, even clarke and wester. give him the invite!
 
Have you guys seen Matt M? He kills it! look at those crazy handrag doubles he throws and sick spins both ways! I would say Margetts is a great substitute!
 
^true!!!! i am soooo sick of hearing about bobby browns gay ass doubles. sick grabs and unique spins used to mean something in skiing. now its all about who can through kang flips over 35 foot jumps. cough big bear cough.
 
hey man, bobby has more than double flips, such as unique grabs and spins. he did a kang flip at big bear becasue he had to do something nobody else was doing to win the comp. hes a competitor. he spins both ways and tweaks his grabs.
 
My understanding is that there is only 2 open entires for each category (2 skiers, 2 photogs, 2 videographers).
 

i def though gus's was way sicker than mike clarks but w/e
and if ur gunna hat on bobby b just know that doubles aside he has a deeper bag of tricks on rails and jumps than most pros out there

and judging by your username, you also have a bias...

either way, you can't really say who "deserves" it the most.
 
some one should do a US video edit comp at a closed park in the spring time with this same format. more comps like this is what skiing needs.
 
wow if any of u r hatin on bobby cus all he does are doubles then u have definitly not seen him ski...hes got more grabs and more style than most the people out there
 
I really dont understand how Clarke won, amazing skier, but his edit had 6 left-side 900s one after another.
