Haha, I just keep imagining all the haters who said the videos should be released at the same time and NO ONE would be interested after two weeks time.. Look at all the comments and feedback, this is just how it's supposed to go, people realise that there is an actual reason why these videos were ranked in order (mostly due to the amazing trickery) but also because there are distinctive lines that separate a better edit from the one before that.

In other words, Team Europe, amazing job in all aspects. Cinematography, editing, small amount of humour, unbelievable skiing and last but not least, the clear distinction in HH's and Favre's styles that was shown so well in both their tricks and the lifestyle shots. Like someone said "Laurent gently throws snow at the container, while Henrik fucking guns it." Absolutely amazing and although it might be a matter of preference, Team Norway must be amazing to beat this. Basically the last minute underdogs as well..

In the judge room we had only MacBooks to watch the edits on. Still, both Levi Siver and I – the film judges – gave Team Europe our highest points. All of us were completely blown away when it was played on the gianormous system in the arena where 2500 people had gathered.
Had it been cinematography and nothing else, I'd given it to Norway, no question. But editing, choice of music, storytelling... there are a thousand different things that make a good vid. Team Europe definitely nailed many of them, that's why I had them first.
When Norway's edit is posted on Tuesday, I expect there to be a lot of opinions flying around... Just remember; The ski judges, JF Cusson and Chris Turpin, went through all the edits and made a catalogue of every single trick in every edit. If it was natural or unnatural... If it was a unique trick or not... If it was made with style or not... Whatever your opinion, nobody can accuse this year's JOSS for suffering from sloppy judging. My hat's off for JF and Chris.
Now, I'm going to enjoy this vid.

She's got a username on here, but I can't remember what it is... she posted in one of the other threads about JOSS when someone made a comment about there being a girl with braces in the USA video.
 
I've posted about this 3-4 times now...simply mind boggling. I can't believe that she legitimately believes she has a career in acting. Take a look at her resume. Amazing.
After I realized that she regularly posted her "outfit of the day", and that she felt it necessary to list every single food she's permitted to eat on her new diet...in English AND Swedish, I had to stop reading, and yet I had to look...not all that different than how I feel about car accidents. A morbid curiosity if you will.

I have only 1 exam in over a months time.
What is true is that I have 5000 words in for thursday...and I have done like err 1000. Shit.
 
Gj Team Norway. Sick filming and editing. I especially liked how they used so many camera angles while filming(obviously so did the other team, but I think team norway did it better) .And the trickery was mindblowing as u can expect from the guys behind the vid. All in all, with the intros and the outros, an excellent vid! Deserved to win.
 
Ail I can say is that it would be very difficult being one of the judges and deciding on the order of the top 3
 
what ttheeeeeeeee fuck!!!!! this isn't directed at jon but comparing team americas edit to peps in 1242 and releasing it for like 2 hours one day then taking it away suckssssssssssss. i need to see this fucking edit!!!!!!!! has it been released somewhere else?
 

The last I've heard from Jon was that Team America were soon to get their music cleared (just some paperwork remaining).But it's all over the internet. Google it if you must. You'll find it on Youtube. But the quality there is an insult to the team...

Team Norway- Cinematography

Team Europe- Just sick

Team Sweden- So well rounded and entertaining.

I really cannot decide if i like USA or Norway better. USA's skiing was just so epic, and Norways shots were just set up so well. My top two could be juggled. So hardddddddd

I feel bad for those judges to have to go through with making these decisions. SO HARD!
 
haha i know! its insane! every edit had something the other didnt. they all one a certain category but to pick overall is near imposible!i like team america's alot though...
 
maybe i missed something but i've been waiting for the dumont/wallisch one because the music issues had been keeping it from being posted, looks like i need to go double check then
 
You can find team America on YouTube with "Wallisch team America". But if you watch it, check it out at josupersessions at least twice.
 
agreed, it is by far the most epic skiing short edit there has ever been

i think the combo of henrick and favre is absurd, it's a perfect balance of style and gnar, i bet on them to win and i think they should have with that video based on impression, and henrick stomped harder than pk or andreas in every shot

but Norway did push it harder than anyone with creativity within thier gnar factor (grabs are important) so I dont thier victory was not a robbery at all

(and thier camera angles definately earn them brownie poitns for sure, that filmer guy is the man).
