I've been thinking the same thing. When he got TWalls spot at the olympics I was like "fuck this guy I've never heard of him, probably some comp jock gymnast who will never do anything good for skiing." Then he won, and instead of using his win for personal gain he's given back to the ski community so much. He's used his fame to create change in competition skiing, which was desperately needed. Companies/event organizers are probably a lot more likely to listen to an olympic gold medalist, and its super cool that he's used that in a positive way. Hopefully the winner at pyeongchang will do the same.
