Joss Christensen...

Anyone else notice how much Joss Christensen has been killing the game lately. I mean he made slapp which is super rad and has made slvsh even cooler. Now he has a impact on the new dew tour which is pushing competitive skiing in the right direction. The man is doing great stuff.

I've been thinking the same thing. When he got TWalls spot at the olympics I was like "fuck this guy I've never heard of him, probably some comp jock gymnast who will never do anything good for skiing." Then he won, and instead of using his win for personal gain he's given back to the ski community so much. He's used his fame to create change in competition skiing, which was desperately needed. Companies/event organizers are probably a lot more likely to listen to an olympic gold medalist, and its super cool that he's used that in a positive way. Hopefully the winner at pyeongchang will do the same.

Biggup Joss!!

I've never taken the time to actually think about it like this, but your points are dead-on. Whereas Gus and Nick were pretty addicted to the fame train for months (Nick has since refocused) Joss actually did everything you said above.

I think Wallisch has done a lot of the same outside the Olympic "success". He didn't get to go, but he has definitely made the best of it with all his outside endeavors. You see Bobby Brown doing a bit of the same.

Yeah man Joss is dope, really glad to see his success. He's been killing it for a long ass time and I've always loved watching him hit jumps.

Joss is the absolute man.

I mean that is why we chose him as the best possible representative to what we were doing with the Dew Tour. He is an internationally known Olympian - and an OG 4bi9 dude. Joss is literally the perfect mix of a mainstream comp skier and a totally legit Newschool skier.

So hats off to Joss. Stoked on that guy, and you guys should be too.

I've always been a huge fan of Joss even since his Line Skis days. Watching him in all of the Line team edits always got me so stoked as a kid (they still do). He has been killing the game for a long time and has always been so humble about it

Hands down, Joss is one of the nicest people you'll ever come across. Kids got a great head on his shoulders, and oh yea, he's pretty damn good at skiing

Joss co-founded Slapp and Slvsh with Matt Walker. Don't forget about Walker!! both are super chill and always down to say hi up on the hill. Got the chance to meet them both in perisher and what they're doing is sick!

this thread reminded me of this classic from Mammoth that ended up having both gold medal winners, Sage and Joss. He's always been a G
