So, as we all know, Jon is racing once again, now with the goal of a world cup podium and olympics.Just wanted to congratulate him on recent knee surgery and then a 20th in GS at Panorama, and a 12th in Super Combi. He's actually doing pretty well, and if you look at his recent GS results, could very well succeed in making it to the world cup or olympics far sooner than anyone expected.
Here is his profile on the FIS website:http://www.fis-ski.com/uk/604/613.html?sector=AL&competitorid=45086&type=result

what a stud. i didn't realize until this year how hard it is to transition between racing and park every weekend. it takes probably an hour to get used to skis that actually turn, and then getting in a course is a even harder.
hopefully all this racing stuff won't get in the way of the JOSS though

dude hes fuckin good

he got 1st and 2nd at red mountain last year in a fis race(which is really hard)

he beat my coach that was doing nothing but racing in his life(didnt go to school nor work) this dude was on the bc team and jon beat him 2 sec on both days

It is amazing how much of a versatile skier he is, tho he needs to start hitting the backcountry, he never leaves groomed runs.

He actually used to ski a bit of big mountain a few years ago. He won the Scandanavian Big Mountain Championships and has podiumed in a few other legit Big Mountain comps. He straight kills it everywhere but there are only so many days in a season. He's basically dominated every aspect of skiing at one point in time.

haha thats so sick. i bet he's soon on the swedish world cup team. think they have one person who usually gets in the giant slalom finals

If he pulls off getting an Olympic spot for Sweden, I think it would be hard to argue against him as the best all-around skier in the history of skiing. Think about it. Huge props to him.

There is huge difference between FIS races and world cup. Its like comparing alocal freestyle comp to the X-games. It usually takes 5 years for someones who is winning at the FIS level to be slightly sucessfull on the WorldCup. Plus, Jon would have to gain about 50lbs to be able to compete in a SG or DH race at the WC level.

Id bet 100 000 000$ he never makes it to world cup and if he doesn, he sure wont win anything. Sorry Jon... kepp up the good work though
