A little vid with a, ahem… pretty talented old-timer doing doubles:

Enjoy!

Yeah dude! So sick to see him go straight from a slalom course, to doing double corks on a jump, then right back into a race. Insane

Also, some of the smooth camera work in that edit is delivered

by no other than Mr. Crill

– the legendary Jon Olsson video blog supreme shooter!

lacking original soundtrack

do it justice by muting the BS and turning on some KISS

Chris Turpin. Feb 9th, 1980. He's probably landed a dub in the past 2 years. Nearly landed a triple a few years ago.

Pako Benguerel (Spanish pro) was throwing kangaroo flips at SnowparkNZ back in October, 2010 when he was 32 years old (FB says he was born April 6, 1978)

Perhaps you're thinking about this one? Shot in the same location in January 2010.

Has a similar vibe...

Legendary skier makes small video about throwing really impressive tricks for viewers pleasure

NS responds by splitting hairs over his age in order to make very stylish doubles at relatively old age seem unimpressive

Way to go guys

Guy is really living the life. Skiing gates, pow, hitting jumps, driving fast cars, banging hot girls, making money, and traveling the world. What else does he really need?

he might have (i forget honestly) been the first to do a dub 10, and for some reason thought he should name it something different

but it's okay we forgive him cause he's jon

park skiing in general has a big case of the wah wah im a washed up old man. some skiers sound like my gaper ass friends talking about being old men at 25

big mtn pros are in their 30s and take huge hits, im so over 25 year old infants saying they can't hit park hard anymore

although i do feel a bit more sore now a days when compared to when i was younger, i agree with what youre saying. I turned 27 this past december, yet the past few weeks have proven to be a small break through in my skiing life. After skiing park for nearly a decade, Ive done my first cork 3, cork 5 and rodeo 5 in the past 3 weeks, with very little harm done. As long as you take care of your body, and take breaks when rest is needed, I feel like you can ski decently hard in the park well into our 30s

yeah dude exactly, i didnt hit park for like 3 years and im 26 now and having a ball learning tricks again. youre def right about being more prone to soreness but besides that i only feel stronger and better physically than i did 18-22

Almost 3 years "out of the game" and still throwing down. Good to see Jon hitting jumps, even with his nasty dub corks (hexoflips? dj flips?). I dare someone to find a better looking switch cork 5 though, man I'm sure he could do those until he's 50.

oh me too, im 25 and in terms of being motivated to charge and try ballsy new stuff in the park, falling and bouncing back, im better than i was when i was 16. I remember taking a fall at 16 and crying about it for two weeks, now im over it in a minute and keep going. in literally every way i feel a lot better.

I think a big part of it is that skiers in general, especially park skiers, dont treat their bodies very well, they dont treat themselves like an elite athlete would, they eat shitty, drink and smoke every day, dont workout off the hill, etc.. i know thats a generalization, but for the most part those types of skiers are the ones i see acting like they have the body of a 50 year old at age 27.

that and i think people see it as an easy excuse.

Yeah I dont think 31 is too old to be doing dubs at all. tommy ellingson is like 35 and does dubs all the time. And this 40 year old guy at my local hill did dub backs. Jon is a legend but I feel like slowly park skiers will get older and the best skiers will be 28... like Twall next year
