Jon Afterbanging Is Legit

So, Big Air finals brought something unique my way (aside from the mayhem)....

Which was, Jon throwing a little afterbang on his switch double. Personally, I think its simply awesome as he didn't overdo it. In addition, it was certainly a conscious decision and to me made afterbang that much more legit.

I love how every time someone lands cleaned it's now labeled as "afterbang". Afterbang is a very unique way of landing, or technically, something you do even after you land. Jon has always landed like that (see Colby's impression in his JOSS video).

To me, that's exactly what afterbang is and should be. It's stomping the crap out of a trick, but making it look like you do that kind of stuff for warm-ups. The ultra fake, standing up like there's a stick in your ass, kind of afterbang just looks retarded.

Yeah, like quite a few people above said, I think that is just stomping the piss out of a trick. He didn't bang afterwards and make it look all silly. I was lucky enough to see it in person, and he just made it look like he wasn't even trying, jump after jump. He had the "all-day syndrome" once he moved on from straight airs.
