I am so fucking pissed off right now. All tuition assistance just got cut. I was 2 classes away from getting my degree. Also one of my buddies just joined the Air Force and is still in basic. He joined for the main reason of getting free schooling, I wonder if he knows already. Feel bad for the guy, and everyone else. Some serious bullshit. end rant/
 
Well in Canadia two classes is like $1000. Shouldn't be too hard to finish her off there bud. Unless you have to serve in Korea now or something, cause that would suck.
 
gov't action, it's really fucking dumb. they should implement a new veterans tuition program if the military can't afford it themselves. immigrants fresh over the border can get gov't aided education funding but out military can't anymore?
 
Duh? I was just saying that he can pay out of pocket for the last two courses. It will obviously be more than Canada but oh well.

My dad has been in the military for 20 something years, and he dislikes Obama with a passion, mainly because he has been trying to screw over the men and women in the military his entire presidential career.
 
I heard it was going to be harder to get but this is the first I've heard of them cutting TA. That blows because I couldn't even take classes while I was in training. I had it worked out to start next fall. That cut is going to fuck a lot of people.

The cuts are going to be universally felt eventually. Not necessarily with this round, but eventually, if we want to have any hope of restoring this country to economic prosperity, we will have to cut just about every benefit program, and then some. Thanks for the indiscriminate spending that will now be dumped on my generation, Uncle Sam!
 
If Obama had supported healthcare cuts, or any other social cuts, you and all the other ignorant fuckhead republicans would be calling him a nazi pig for not supporting every man and woman in the country. Shut the fuck up.

He set the march first deadline a longgggg time ago you everyone knew what was going to be cut. They said the GI bill would go. Its no surprise. Be proud you served your country and im sure you will be able to afford the last two classes. Unless you were like a typical dumb fuck airman who goes out and finances a fucking 2012 camero with his pay checks instead of saving.
 
Whoa whoa whoa, let's pump the breaks here. No where did I say my political affiliation. One member questioned why another's relative didn't like the pres in relation to the cuts, and I tried help clear that up. Great assumptions though.

Republicans want him to cut his stupid fucking useless obamacare, because even though OP shouldn't have had this come as a surprise i still feel bad for him and have the upmost respect for him to serve our country. WE SHOULD CUT OBAMA CARE NOT OUR ARMED FORCES EDUCATION FUNDS.

The fact that you jumped to blame Obama amazes me. He told Democrats and Republicans to come to a compromise or these things would be cut, And guess what they didn't come to a compromise.

This actually made me stop and think and I definitely would rather just not go to college. I doubt OP killed anyone in the airforce though
 
They are actually prohibited from receiving any such funding by Federal Law (at least for higher ed). As for funding for K-12, courts have determined that we have a constitutional obligation to educate children regardless of their citizenship status. Try again.
 
Are you implying that all first generation immigrants don't deserve the amount of funding that they receive for education?
 
That would be flight officers, most enlisted in navy/airforce just work long hours maintaining the equipment.

It wasn't really a joke as much as it was a serious issue.

People are like yeah I'll just go join the military for the sick benefits.

Joking aside it had a valid point.
 
But, if he were go to rob people for college money, he'd be robbing American citizens. When he's oversees, he's killing brown people, and those don't matter as much, right?
