Hello Newschoolers! As progress is getting further on this game (see this thread to what I am referring too: www.newschoolers.com/forum/thread/938208/I-am-in-the-early-stages-of-making-a-ski-game-and-looking-for-ideas- )

I am realizing I need someone to help in level design while I finish up some systems with game mechanics to speed up the process. This will be unpaid to start, but in the future compensation is definitely possible with the right person. You will get access to early testing and help drive the direction of the game.

I am looking for someone with:

Plenty of free time (couple hours per day, but not necessarily everyday)

Good communication(check ins daily)

Good knowledge of skiing - especially park skiing

Previous level design in any type of game

Creative

PC with good graphics card and ram 16gb or above

Ability to learn new systems, programs, interfaces

Preferably 18 years or older, although I can make exceptions

What you would be doing:

Collaborating on the design and layout of ski levels

Using the Godot engine and a custom terrain editor (if you have no experience with game engines, but are talented with the other aspects and have quick learning abilities do not worry I will be teaching you how to use the interface and terrain editor)

Working closely with me to ensure that the levels align with the game mechanics and overall vision

Providing input on game design and contributing to the creative process

For the right person this is a great opportunity to learn about game design, level design, and the general game development process from the front lines which I perceive as very valuable. This is also a great opportunity to gain experience, showcase your skills, and potentially become a part of the development.

Please reach out if you're interested or have any questions!

Provide some information:

- age, name, and information about your skills or attach a resume if you like and any useful information about yourself that would apply

How will you monetize the game in the long run?

It will be on Steam for pc to begin with. Haven't come up with a price or anything yet, but the goal is to balance it out between affordable for anyone interested to try and for me to continue to put time and money into the game. I am having so much fun making this thing and would love to keep doing it for years and years if I can afford to.

ive made a fair share of realistic shredsauce levels if that counts as experience lmao.

It sure does, there will be a decent learning curve but if you are interested in more details I can tell you more of what it entails. If it seems up your alley I can show basic workflow and no worries if it seems like too much. Dm me your discord or email if you like.

You want daily check-ins for no pay?

I am not getting paid and also putting in own $$$ to contract some work out. I will be having to teach someone a lot of skills at first and spend time doing that. For the right person who is interested they will learn a ton about this type of development and will develop skills they can also use elsewhere if they like.

The daily check in thing I just expect something like "I am busy for the next 3 days", "I can help for 2 hours today" etc. Just good communication so I can plan out my own week.

For the right person it could very well turn into a good side gig and compensation is possible after the early phase and development gets further along and skills are developed.

Hey! I got this squared away. The way it works right now with more than 2 people on 1 level it would complicate things a lot. I will let you know if I need more help after a demo is completed though! Feel free to hit me up on discord as well =)
