JOI Triples and Judging

Do you guys think that a triple will trump any other trick at JOI?
ex. would McRae's trip rodeo (no grab) beat a steezy double 12 with a grab??

Also, who do you guys think will win the JOI competition considering there have been a couple of trips thrown? And who else will be throwing trips?
- I personally think and hope Jon Olsson throws one because I love his style and hes such a competitive guy I think he will be inspired to try one.
 
you can't win a big air comp and miss your grab, at least hopefully. i think russ could easily take it, his triple was smooth and well grabbed. we'll have to see what other madness goes down tho, who knows what people could do with a few more days on that jump.
 
yes, i think a triple will win joi. i'm guessing russ henshaw, either trip14, or maybe 16 if he tries it.

as for jon, i'm not sure if he will try a triple. he hasn't been skiing park all year, so it would be super impressive if he'd try one. but i doubt that he will
 
I'm guessing it wont be like xgames with instant perfect 100s but prob get more points.
 
all i got to say is mostlikely a gay tripple(if tripples can be gay) no grab and flailing will not beert a steezy dub 12

back to topic, judging a big air comp is all the same, head to head format is better in my mind, and having to do sutten different everytime is the way to go. IDK if they are doing it that way this year but i hope so
 
haha ur completely missing the point. I am just wondering how this event (and others) will be judged now that triples are being thrown. Since doubles have been introduced, it seems like it is always a double that wins comps, Now im wondering if it wil be the same for trips.
I am defiantly not trying to hate on McRae at all, actually I think hes really dope and I love to watch him ski.
Also , what do u mean 'stop caring'? We are obviously are all huge fans of freeskiing and obviously we all care about this stuff. thats why we're on NS in the first place.
 
that jump is so big you could see someone like schlopy throw the 18 he was thinking about, and people will probably do dub 16s on top of triples. soo i bet you wont see a dub 12 make it to the top 5 at least
 
mcrea sent his within the first 45 minutes of practice the first night the jump was up... wait for the weekend mother fuckazzz
 
this. i disagree with x games judging. that is why i like joi so much more. and not because im a hipster or anything i know that sounds hipsterlike
 
yep both were grabbed pretty much through the whole trick... mcraes (sp). was sicked sick though actually wicked clean... id take that as a winning trick any day cuz it had some resemblance of style along with a triple
