JJ ultralight vs wildcat tour vs other 50/50 pow touring ski.

i am thinking of replacing my line mordecail with an other 50/50 pow ski. I really like 116mm underfoot for pow. I am looking for something lighter than my mordecai with a bit more rocker. It will be for 50/50 with a shift binding.

I was thinking JJ ultralight, wildcat tour or bentchetler.

i am open to suggestions.

regards,

Man, for 50/50 I don’t see any reason not to get the full Wildcat. Surprising light for the insanely awesome skiabilty. My 184’s are under 2100g’s and they rip.

Yeah, I 200% agree . For 50/50 you'd better take regular version and drill the ski with inserts for alpine and light touring binding.

My JJ ULs in 185 are stupid light even with the Tour F12 i put on it (frame binding). i couldnt imagine what it would be with just the shift on there. I have the mordecai with an FKS and between the two they are very close in weight. they also ski very similar. seems the JJ UL will come in just a touch lighter than the Wildcat.

Agree with these guys. For 50/50 it seems like the full beef JJ would be perfect, especially with shift. That would be a better ski for spring touring and bumps in the resort.
