Has anyone ever been there? We might go this winter and just looking for some reviews of the place since the website provides 2 pictures of one box.. How are their parks?

Its weak. Whats the occassion of the trip? There are plenty of other places you could go that are better.

Can you make the trip anywhere else? Vermont would be better. There is a small jib park last year features were fdbox/cannon/tire jib/flat rail

then the main park had a flat box/ flat rail, cannon 3 jumps 15-30ft and a quarter pipe. thats it thats all.

Go to Mt. Snow.

Not sure, Im not the one planning it.. and yeah Ive heard good things out of mt snow..

jiminy doesnt really offer much for park if you can i suggest going to a place in vermont if possible. i think you'd be disappointed in JP's park.

nh has some good parks as well, loon, waterville valley, crotched mountain... all are 1000 times better than jiminy, jiminy barely qualifies as a hill.

jiminy sucks. don't even bother, their park is shit, and the mountain is all ice. mount snow's only 35-40 minutes north, just go there. mount snow's sick, best park on the east coast no doubt

jiminy has virtually no park, but its got decent skiing for a small mountain, with very few crowds. good for beginners/intermediates but thats it

Northern Ky, right below cincy.. and we actually have a nice little hill over in indiana.

Perfect North Slopes - has a pretty good park.

not to be a complete negative nancy, but can seem as crowded as any VT mountain at times, because it's small, the chairs they have, have long lines.
and if you're traveling all the way from KT, don't even bother. you'll be very dissapointed. head 35 minutes north to Mount Snow.

Go to Mount Snow. It's a mighty fine choice and it will only add 1-2 hours to your travel time, depending. You could also look into places in northern NY, like White Face. But i don't know what the park's like. You wont be disappointed with mount snow however. Their mountain face, Carinthia is all terrain park.

he speaks the truth.

except, even better..driving up to MS from the Jiminy area would only be an additional 40 minutes. yes i've stated this before(three times already?)but i'll state it again. GO TO MOUNT SNOW!!

i live in the area...

just pointing out, mapquest isn't always right man. it's about 50 minutes or so, even driving regular speed. i've trekked up there many times, and it is about 50-55 minutes. in the snow it can add 15 minutes, but for the most part, about 50 some odd minutes. we usually head due north from the southern berkshires where i live, and head straight through, through williamstown. from williamstown, it's about 35 minutes, mapquest is saying 55 minutes...

unless you have no where else to go or its free dont both going there its pretty shitty in general, fun to dick around on but thats about it

dont go to jiminy! complete waste of money and the snow conditions are usually very crappy. the park is also trash. if you do go send me a pm and i might be able to meet you there. i live maaad close

yeha if you're coming from kentucky, you might as well go to a decent mountain. they have night skiing, which not too many mtns around here have. and the night life is ok. but other then that, its pretty icy, the park isnt that good, and the only real reason i ever go is if a bunch of us go after work and we all get free lift tickets...

if you're coming up for a good vacation, and looking for decent park and all mtn, look into mount snow, killington, okemo in vt. loon/waterville in nh. whiteface is ok, its right near lake placid in ny, and on a good day can be awesome, but also has a reputation of being real windy, which = ice. sunday river is a good one too.

i think to be honest one of the 3 i mentioned in vt, theres obv more too but just some suggestions in this area, are going to be your best bet. they all have some sort of town/community surrounding, (ranging from mt snow that doesnt have much, to killington which basically has it's own town), and offer a decent sized mountain with varying terrain for all levels.

Got to agree with most of the other repliers. Jiminy is expensive for what you get and not really considered a vacation destination. If you are travelling that far get your moneys worth. Jiminy is more for people within any hour drive from the East or South or those who have just not experienced bigger or better places. http://www.new-england-ski-mountain-resorts.com/Mount-Snow.html

definately go to mount snow if you can.i mean jiminy ahd a somewhat decent park in past years, but last year it was absolute trash.
MS FTW

i dont think anyone even took pics of the park since it wasn't worthy of anything last year....sucked soo bad

if you wanna ski park definitely go to mount snow.....

if you wanna just kill all mountain and a new trail every run go to killington....

jiminy peak is full of stuck up rich ass new yorkers and the whole place is usually ice

definitely don't go to jiminy

I was there today. There is an up down box. a rainbow rail. a flat down rail and a down rail. no jumps.

If you want a park go to Mt. Snow. The whole thing is the park

Its not worth it. think of it this way. If jiminy was trying to have an ill park wouldn't they have pictures on their own site, or be in here talking it up. Jiminy has 4 features right now. I think mount so has 25x that. I dont know what you want me to tell you haha

yeah hes right i was there yesterday on christmas eve and it sucked, if u wanted to hit the 4 crappy features in alex's park you had to hike back up it or hike to the main lift which was a pain. the only decent park at jiminy is coyote ridge because it has some jumps but even that isnt open, dont waste your money man go somewhere else

I was actually just at jiminy a couple days ago and it was pretty sick.

There was hardly anyone there... I had to wait in the lift line for 2 min max. They have a small park setup with 2 rails and 2 boxes but there was NO ONE there, so i had the place to myself. The skiing is fun and pretty much everyone who skis there is a gaper making it even more fun. Its not a bad mountain for a day trip but tahts all i suggest. They are getting some jumps up (probably 15-20 max) which should be ready pretty soon.

The only reason I go there is because my friends have a condo there so i get to sleep for free and discounted lift ticket. otherwise I would hit up MS if i were you.

guys I know it sucks, but I think we have a free condo on or by the hill.. so if you could, pics please!
