some ribbing is super loose and makes you look like fat albert, and putting holes in the ribbing with the drawstring decreases the value and doesn't look all that good

has anyone ever tried just shrinking the ribbing, soak it in hot water and then dry it= tighter ribbing

yes i search barred

and this can apply to pretty much any clothing

My mother who is a master seamstress is installing bungie like ropes into the ribbing of mine oodrat was fuck.as to make me look h

If i were you i would try to shrink it with hot water and dry it. The worst that could happen is it doesn't shrink. Personally i would unstitch part of where the ribbing attatches to the rest of the sweatshirt, feed a string through it, pull tight to where needed, tie off the string, and then re-sew the area you unstitched.

the OP doesn't like strings hanging from the ribbing though. And you don't take off the ribbing, you just unstitch like a quarter inch so you can feed the string through.

easy way to fix it and make it look good is to just go get it taylored. i thought id try it out and it only cost me 6 bucks. and it looked way better than before. perfect custom fit.

You're taking a certain length of fabric and making it shorter, of course it's going to wrinkle.

I would try the hot water method

updatesoaked ribbing in hottest water my sink would put out for 15 minutes or soo

dried a little with hair dryer and put iron on ribbing to dry a little

then put in dryer for about 20 minutes

went from 43inches to a solid 42

sorry for dub posti soaked in hot water in my sink for 15 min

squeezed dry

then iron ribbing only until mostly dry then put in washer

*do at own risk results may vary*

You know when the collar on one of your favourite shirts starts getting all stretched out and you feel like this?
