how big is xl? i want something i can wear normally, but will help keep snow off my ass when skiing in pow. is xl big enough or that?

Im the same way, tall t shirts are legit but everything that is the right tallness for me, is to damn wide do to me being skinny as fuck.
 
this is like the exact problem i have. Im tall enough for xl/2xl depending on the brand, and i mean normal, it doesn't look like tall tees, but for width i'm like a large
