One main point of the thread similar to this was screw length, and how it'll be longer if you take off the plastic pads.

If you don't know what it's for, don't mess with it. It can only do worse if you don't know what you're doing. Why don't you talk to the company yourself?

Reputable shops that actually earn their dollars and the trust of their customers will more than likely grind the screws for you. My local shop did for me, when I had my skis remounted and the lifters taken off of my Axial 2's.

Well a shop will charge him mostlikely to grind the screws.

Since they are mounted already i was just suggesting the cheapest alternative to bringing it in
