Jib-Life is finally here, its facebook official.

Seems to be a lot of questions here, and not a lot of answers. Let me just clear a couple of things up quick. First and foremost, Jib Life already is a working, playable game. Ben has a small group of early testers that he's been sending demoes to who are giving him feedback on everything. In the last month or so, the game's improved a ton, purely from input, and not funds.

Second, the reason the game is at the point that it's at now, is because of a couple of generous sponsorships from respectable companies. So to anyone hesitant to drop $5 bucks on a demo, you might want to give it a second thought. If companies like Camp of Champions are willing to make sizeable contributions (hesitant to give details, but trust me, its a lot more than $5), you should have the confidence to toss down some cash to get in on it too.

Finally, the way Kickstarter works, is that Ben is only getting the money if he reaches his goal by April 12th. If he doesn't no one is charged anything, and he doesn't get anything. You're only going to be charged if he is successful in reaching his goal. They do this so people don't just throw money at a lost cause. The campaign is already successful before it costs you a dime.

So all of that said, if you don't have the faith or the funds to contribute, you don't have to! But if you're trying to take advantage of a unique opportunity to get in on the creation of a video game, now's your chance. Seriously, I've heard a lot of plans for this game, and I can tell you that if this is successful, you're going to have an awesome game to play, that only gets better.

one more ting! you dont actually give the money from your account until april 12th. IE if it doesnt reach funding then yer donation comes back me thinks.
 
will i have to buy a ps3 or xbox controller to play this or can i just use my keyboard??!! i need to know
 
If I donate now can I upgrade my donation later? This looks awesome, can't wait! Will be a great birthday present for myself.
 
and? if the dev cant afford the game he shouldn't have made it, and you do realize "out of pocket" usually means "out of my rich investors pocket" correct?
 
Well with CoC, NS, and OT backing them I actually put my money into it. It seems a little less sketchy when big names in the industry support it. I don't see CoC just being okay with Jiblife not meeting their deadline.

Also this game looks sick share it on your facebook wall, try and get people to donate it'd be awesome if we finally got to play this in April.

$5 Isn't that much. Coffee costs about $5 come on can't you give that up just once?
 
If all of us share it on our fb wall or something I'm pretty sure we can get to lots of people and some might be interested in the game so just take 5 minutes and share it on fb.

If you don't want to help, then don't, but please stop making ridiculous assumptions. We know how long it took to get to this point, we are ALL aware of it. It's here now though, so why not just get stoked and help us make it the best game it can be.

...b...but...it's NOT here. You're asking for donations for something that may or may not drop in a month, because it's probably not even finished. Woo hoo, we get to play a "level" consisting of one urban rail if we pay $5, and we might get an update on when the real game MIGHT drop! SO STOKED, BRUUHHHH. You and your team are so fucking unprofessional. When will this joke end?

Have you ever programmed anything? I'm studying computer science and programming is tough. It would take so so much work to create a game at that level. As they get more recognition it will get better. Seriously have some faith that it'll drop and be awesome. And y not pledge? If they don't get $30,000 then you'll get your money back... and if it succeeds you get the game.... Where is the problem in that. Also $5 for a game like this is really really cheap. Don't be so harsh the team is for sure working hard (developing a video game takes years for a staff of hundreds e.g. Assasin's Creed 3 has so far already taken 3 years to develop with a huge staff) and they have dedicated a huge portion of their time and lives.

 
Can you elaborate on what "is here"? All im getting is a link asking for more money. There is no game yet.

so when you guys say its in the early stage of development, do you mean that you are basically just building up the place, and you have the basics down like physics and stuff and your just making the parks and clothing etc, or what.

No, if you donate five dollars you get the possible opportunity to play a simple demo level in April, assuming they meet their $30,000 goal. If they don't meet the goal, it's my understanding that you get your money back but no game at all.
 
Seriously why hate on this? Like everyone has already said, now that big names in the industry are backing this there's no way they will let it crash and burn, atleast hopefully not. Also, NS is backing it, when has NS ever let us down? This thread is for the faithful not the haters.
 
Im really skeptical about donating because I feel like even if they reach there goal im not gonna be able to play the demo till 2015
