Someone asked "Where's JF", THis is what happen.

You have to ski powder if you want to ski for life. Parks will only be a fad in your life. JF has lost his drive to ski everyday because he was no longer progressing. When you stop progressing at a sport you start to look for other sensations in the sport to motivate you. If there is no sensation then you give up. 720's over 80 foot tables don't do it for JF any more. He's been there done that over and over and over. Switch over a 120ft cap is out of his reach. He is behind times now and is wondering what to with his life. This will start happening more and more to big pro's unless they learn to ski powder. But if you have been labled as a pro skier and you can't ski pow than it's going to be extremely unmotivating to ski when your being heckeled by all the people that watched you in the movies and read about you in the mags. This is why you will start to see park pros quiting skiing as soon as there time is up. If want to ski for life then learn to ski pow. My dads still skies pow at 70.

snow-man, shut the f*ck up. he hasnt quit skiing, he still skis as much as anyone, just that he skis in quebec. he is a part owner for armada, and he can make a living out of it, he proved what he had to proved and hes done more than his share for skiing, now he can enjoy life without any pressure and risks.

Yo I saw JF at Avila this season, he was KILLING IT,super smooth, you can see that he trully loves the sport and does it for fun, just not to get the attention of everyone on the slope. Plus he was killing the bumps. Maybe he can't ski pow as good as alot of pros, but he's from quebec, so give him a break. Plus, he'll kill alot of pros in the bumps any time, anywhere, including your dad. stop dissing one of the icons of freesking. period.

Come on guys we all know he hardly skies these days and I think it's because he's bored of it. Ask him, he will tell you that. I am not bagging on him and what he has accomplished. I am just saying that the park is fad because when you top out, from there on it get repetive. Unlike pow.

 
I would bet my life savings that JF could rip pow better than you and your 70 year old pops.

Along with being able to kill it in the park still with the young guns, throwing almost any trick in all 4 directions with lofty smooth steeze and his unique style, and don;t get me started on rail tech.

He has already proved himself to us, and he didn;t have to, he was one of the people who brought the sport to where it is today, and can still kill it, and can do whatever the fuck he wants. I'll admit i miss his video seggys, his innovation, new tricks he developed and steezed way before anyone else.

JF isn't gone, he is just doing what he wants, cause he's the fucking man.

I was actually ripping on the future of park skiers when they get older. If they can't ski the mountain than my belief is that once they get to old to take the hit and learn more ticks they will quit. Thats fine with me but I think the best part about skiing is pow because No matter how much you've had you can't get enough. Go to Alaska and ski for a week. It will change your life and you might understand what I am saying. Do what ever you have to do to learn to ski pow and you will have a drive to ski forever

maybee becuase you cant keep up with park skiing to try to make it seem like a less important part of skiing. you are probably a decent skier, and you just missed the park revolution by a few seasons or so. you're bitter, it's ok. No one talks shit to you about skiing powder do they? no. not because it's so supperior to park sking, as you see it, but because they respect you enough as a skier to let you do what you want. Just as much as you love skiing pow there is someone who loves skiing park, or even groomers for that matter. so please mind your own fucking business and shut the hell up.

I think he just found something else or got sick of what he was doin. I got sick of skiin pow steeps n cliffs, got sick of my stashes getting tracked out, landings getting bombed out, fucking up my skis everytime I went b.c., and you can't ride pow everyday unless you're a pro or have a really good snow year. If it wasn't for parks n pipes I might be playin golf er sumthin with JF.

Check it out, we all ski powder. Atleast well rounded skier's do. The only way i ski park is if the rest of the snow sucks on the mounatin and im bored of icy drop's. or its soring, but i live in california so spring can mean powder too haha you get the point.....eat shit the lot of you
